Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions not just in this thread but in so many others. The idea that someone in the company gives enough of the rat to actually monitor these little gripe and brag sessions of ours has changed my mind about Buells and about the KTM and Triumph I've been looking at as my next bikes. There's something about knowing the company cares that makes me more likely to give it my money. Thanks. | ||

I agree completely. I can't express how much it means to me as a consumer to know that the engineers, factory workers, staff, and ever the Grand Pubah himself, Erik Buell actually care about their customers. I'm proud to have the Buell name on the side of my bike. Thumbs up to all of you at Buell!! | ||

The difference with Buell is that you feel like a member of a family and not just a customer of a company. I truly love that about Buell and truly appreciate everything Erik and his team have done. It makes me proud to wear my Buell jacket and ride my CityX around, nothing like getting the wave from another Bueller. I love that I "get" Buell and the fact that the engineers come on BadWeb to address our questions and concerns. I even love that Erik will personally e-mail me back if I drop him a note. I feel BadWeb is a prerequisite for any real Buell enthusiast. --Sean | ||

+10 I also considered alternative water cooled v-twins before the release of the 1125. Of course those thoughts are completely removed with the appearance of the 1125. For all the reasons stated, I will remain "loyal" to Buell. Erik Buell is brilliant in executing his vision of the streetable sportbike the public at large will be able to appreciate. I admire the commitment of BMC in treating their fans/consumers intelligently and the sportbikes they build reflects their commitment to them. Congratulations Erik and team! | ||

Ive been riding for 20 years and have had several different jap bikes and none of them even come close to the fun i have on my 2006 xb9. Ill never buy non Buell again. And when im riding with my friends my Bike gets all the looks. And now i get to go fast again with the 1125r. Its a Win Win | ||

We've got a pretty good showing of bikes, here at work, especially in the summer. Plenty of Jappers, several Harleys, a KTM and a couple of Ducks. My XB9R got more looks than all of them put together(well maybe not the Monster). That '03 Firebolt was, without a doubt, the best bike I've ever owned, hell, ridden. Everyone that's ridden an 1125R says it's significantly better that the 9Rs and the 12Rs. So, I'm now waiting to receive a bike that's better than the best I've been on. Can't wait. Guess I have to tho. Wishing my life away...hurry up mid-November. Z | ||

As somebody posted above, my Buell(s) that I have owned aren't the fastest bikes that I have ridden, but, they drip with soul. Every time I throw a leg over mine, I start to grin. After I fire it up, the grin gets bigger, once under way I am at full grin! As I tell everybody that bags on Buells....have you ridden one? They are a fun bike to ride! One thing comes to mind....Different in Every Sense....yep, that sums it up. | ||

I thought my 98S1W was a fun machine... then I bought my 2008 XB Firebolt!!!! Meeting Erik Buell at MBII, getting a pic with him and having him sign my flyscreen was absolutely the bomb!!!! Then when I needed a part for the S1W, an inside connection via Court, delivered!!! What other motorcycle company can the average joe rider hook up with an "inside connection" and be guided in the right direction?? IF I had the funds, I would surely buy an 1125R!! | ||

This is my last post as MHfirebolt as I just sold my 'bolt yesterday. Name has changed to USmoto. I'm a very big Buell fan and have been for a long time. I'm saving to buy the 1125r. I loved the 'bolt but I feel like it's time to "step up" to the next level which I believe is the 1125. I'm going to wait for approx. 2 years to buy the new bike so that the "bugs" can be worked out. Just wanted to give a yell out to Greg who bought my 04 Firebolt yesterday. Good Luck. You've got my former baby and a great 'bolt. Keep me informed on the progress with your build and I'll do the same on mine. Also wanted to let everyone know that I'll be working on a straight pipe exhaust setup for the new 1125. It'll be a little while in the future so just file my name, USmoto, away somewhere for future use. When I start to work on it I'll let everyone know. I put a straight pipe setup on the 'bolt and it sounded and performed great. Thanks to the folks who put this forum together and also to everyone who contributes knowledge to it. It's a great place to gain all kinds of info on one of if not THE most awesome bike on the planet. USA Baby!! | ||

I have spent the last 2 to 3 months researching what bike to buy and why. I found that I rarely took my gixer 1000R over 9000rpm , and in reality that's where the power starts.I also wanted a bike that handled. Now the GSX and my TRX 850 are no slouches in the bends, but I knew that's were I enjoyed my self the most and therefore wanted a bike to better them. I also wanted something innovative, that helps the bike perform from a design perspective rather than electronic "aids". I leaned towards the Aprilia RSVR mille,yet despite all it's state of the art equipment ,it got it's arse kicked by the Buell. I have no doubts that with a tweak here and there , it will be the rider not the bike that will pull away from me in the canyons. And all for half the price.  |
