We will be ready to blast early Friday. Let's hit the border at 7:00AM and catch up w/Galen and gang. We should be there sometime between 10:30 and 11:00AM. It's sad to have ridden so little this year so far but I can't wait to make up for it!!! Jimmy, Do you know how to get ahold of Shaun? I'll call Stu today. Harv |

Harv I'll call Shawn today, but his bike hasn't seen any attention since Border Raid and I feel he won't be ready this year. Galen Are you planning to ride down on the Thursday or Friday? Jimmy |

If I'm the only one gonna ride the SPLASH FRIDAY route from last year, I guess I'll pass. But if anybody wants to ride it, I'd be glad to show you the route. 2 weeks to decide. We had our second grandchild yesterday. Dora Boucher, 7# 1 oz of cuteness.

Bloody Hell! Some brain dead sombitch walked up and PUSHED BETTY OVER last night about 4:30am. Cracked breadbox cover seems to be the only real damage, other than to her pride. (She really hates to lay down...) Ray2K gave me an extra box he had pulled off his M2, so I'm on my way to the storage shed to search for it. And my shotgun. Speaking of shotguns, congrats on the little proto-human! She looks quite tastey... |

Oh, this is just too funny! Got the breadBox on and got dressed for a ride. She started right up, 'Sweet!'. Twist the old throttle and... nothing. When she fell the PLASTIC twisty-grip got shoved into the other PLASTIC dealio, and it was BUSTED. -now for the funny part- Harley can't get me one for fifteen days... and that's after SPLASH! Called Deeles, didn't get ahold of Gootch, but it didn't sound like they can order it any quicker. Gona go to Bent Bike tomorrow, and dig through the junk there and see what I can come up with. ...sheesh... sooner (?) Galen |

Great to hear we will have a SPlash Friday ride. Looking forward to it. Bob, Dwayne's pipes look awesome. You need to patent that design and start making it in volume and quit working your old job! Retirement is soooooo neat. We wake up on Friday mornings, bring a cup of coffee back to bed, and I say, TGIF. And Mary just pops me one on the arm and laughs. So figure out a way to retire while you can still enjoy it. Make a bridge to Social Security and cross over to freedom! |

Galen Bummed about the treatment Betty receives some of the time! I may have a throttle tube that I can send your way. I'll check it out and get back to you. You're not going to miss SPLASH! Don't worry. Jimmy |

OK, nothing at BentBike that will work. They had a really nice S-1 with 6000 mi. and new wheels, rotor, carbon exaust, billet pegs... basicly everything this guy could find to buy for it. Tipped over and got spooked... minor, MINOR damage... $5,500. Orange w/ Nuc Blue frame... anyway... Tomorrow is Monday. We'll see what happens! |

Galen, Don't limit yourself to Dealers in Washington. Have you tried any of the other big dealers out of state? Where are we meeting in Tacoma? |

I spoke with Stu today and they have had their second child. He is a beautiful baby boy weighing in at 7lb 3oz. if memory serves me. There is a chance Stu will be able to make SPLASH this year, but much depends on his coworker’s wife delivering their baby prior to the SPLASH weekend. Very complicated, but we hope you can make the trip Stu. Galen Unfortunately Stu doesn’t have a loaner throttle assembly that we can get to you for SPLASH. I’d gladly send you my Buell throttle, but that was sold on ebay many moons ago as I’m using a Ducati throttle assembly with custom cables for the Mikuni carb. I’ll see what I can turn up from Shawn. His bike is still in need of some exploratory engine work and he won’t be attending SPLASH this year. Have you had any luck sourcing one in the US? Chat soon Jimmy |

I bought an ass. from the Buell Classifieds. Different year, but with a hammer I think I can make it fit. Thanks also Jimmy for your rooting around in a foriegn land to help your old pal. |

Galen Harv, SporyEric, Mark and I are leaving early Friday morning enroute to meet you and your entourage for a fun blast around the back side of St Helens and into Woodland for the reception. Saw your post securing the throttle assembly that you purchased from Beachbuell in Florida. That unit will work just fine. Probably a straight swap and should plug right in. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that it arrives in time. Cheers FunJimmy

Jimmy, If we meet at around 6:30AM at Starbucks on Hwy. 10 and 180th we can get to the border, get across and have a bite on the other side just like years previous (hopefully no drama takes place this year). We would be about 2 1/2 hours from Tacoma (at the speed limit), so we should be there around 10:00 - 10:30ish? Are you in for a shakedown run to Baker this week? Harv |
