There are already several threads complaining about the bike's appearance, including photos with tweaked fairings, added bodywork, altered radiators and mufflers, etc. I'm pretty happy with the way the bike looks, I just wondered what it would look like in some other color combinations. How about it Photoshop guys? Thanks in advance! |

I don't know photoshop -- will Powerpoint do? I like the black, but think the "carbon paper" color on the frame and wheels isn't different enough from the bodywork:
This might look better with the new blue wheels off the white XB12R. Or it could still look like poo. I can't decide. Speaking of blue wheels, does anyone know if the 1125R's wheels are the same as the other XB's? |

Other attempts:
I'll leave it to those more talented to tweak the bodywork and wheels.... |

Okay, one attempt at bodywork. Yeah, it's cheesy:
I left the ThunderScoops black in an attempt at minimizing them, as I know they ain't people's faves (I happen to like them...) |

That last one is damn sexy, build and I will sell the hell out of it. Besides in red it will be a Duc hunter dressed in its own camoflauge |

I agree... that's the one I'm waiting for too. But with red scoops, please? |

The more I see the new bike, the more it grows on me. I think the Harrier scoops should be available in the translucid colors... I STILL want to see the mechanical goodies. Kick Ashe would look sweet. Wonder if high temp paint would survive on the black portion of the exhaust? I keep hearing people comment on wanting a chin spoiler...maybe you could paint/jet-hot/hpc? |

You just know that some early buyer will take off the scoops to see if it still works. edit: speaking of the scoops, I wonder if they are considered EPA compliance components and therefore not allowed to be removed for street use. (Message edited by mikej on July 12, 2007) |

I hate to say this, but the scoops look like saddle bags mounted in reverese. This bike needs to be all black or dark blue so they blend in. |

I hate to say this, but the scoops look like saddle bags mounted in reverse. Yea, me too but I like Ridrx's idea of making them translucent. |

Translucency transcends all other ideas. |

Okay, here's some more! Thing is, I think it actually looks BETTER with the color-matched scoops -- with only part of the scoop in color, the lines flow better. Side views:
The red and Battle Blue are my faves... |

And some from the front:
All of these are "standard" Buell colors -- all they gotta do is load in surlyn they already got on hand into the molds....(PLEASE????) |

One last one: An attempt at matching the bodywork to the "carbon paper blue" frame & wheels:
BITCHEN!!! |

I like the white, but isn't it time for some new out-of-the-box colors to go with this thing? |

Unless we go with the Pimp Daddy Bling Edition with the gold frame:
Decorate-it-yerself number plates optional... (OKAY, I'll stop now..........) |

Pushrodpete, Nice job. The colors really add another dimension to the bike. I'll be waiting impatiently for the "Carbon Paper Blue"...that is gorgeous! That's the first picture of the 1125R I've seen that makes me willing take the loss on my '06 12R! I agree the scoops look better in the body color, though I'd still like to see Translucid options...the best place to hide something is right out in the open, right? BTW...Does anyone happen to know the NAME of the color adorning the frame/ swing arm?Is it paint? Powder Coat? (Message edited by RidrX on July 12, 2007) |

Wowsers! I like the all Diamond Blue (carbon paper blue) one too! They all look good but that blue is sharp. |

The all Diamond Blue rocks. I actually thought the dark green looked pretty good. I love it in white though, thats the fastest color. |

that is hands down my favorite plane of all times. read books while i was in school talking about how those things would fly back all beat to hell. missing parts of wings, a whole friggin' engine, etc. that would be a bad ass paint job on this bike |

Gee, I kinda like the purple, but I've always been a Prince fan. How about pink for Michael fans? Seriously, I love the yellow and white and the color-matched scoops really make a difference. Thanks! |

This is the nicest color you have chopped: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/292031.jpg The Brittish Racing Green. I wish the regular XB's were available in that color. |
