What I like about it is that it still looks like a Buell; in much the same way that a Triumph Speed Triple looks like a Triumph. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but in the "form following function" sense. I wonder how an air cooled XB might look, given a "Sport Classic" treatment, much like the Bonneville based Triumphs, or the air cooled Ducatis. There is certainly something beasty-cool about those tube framed bikes, and there is never a shortage of customers looking for that "retro" vibe. Especially at the local H-D dealer! |

Anonymous is right. I crashed the dealer show and saw lots of Europeans eyeballing the bike...but they were all dudes. LOL! I'm so glad I took a chance and rode over to the show. What a treat to see Erik, Abe, Dan, and all the Buell folks I ran into (LOL!...I'm calling them by their first names like I know them or something). I'm pretty much to the point that I don't care what the bike looks like, or what I would like done to it to fit my personal needs...I'm sold on the Buell philosophy. Go Buell!! |

Hey Chad, did you put a deposit down yet? I was trying to tally how many people had actually committed to buy one in the other thread. I count 15 so far with you as one of the 3 or 4 "maybes". Oh yea, welcome back Henrik! |

If you want to be a curb monkey, poseur, or the like and sit on your bike at the local bike night so people can tell you how "cool" your bike is...well, I can see how you might be concerned with how it looks. Isn't it just amazing how many "sportbikes" are bought NOT to be ridden? More often than not, the chicken strips on those "sweet-looking" ricers are more like chicken breasts (I stole that from someone here on Badweb, I think it is so appropriate). |
