I have a question about installing the traction grips? I have an 06 lightning, it looks like the throttle grip will slide off, but the new grip has attachment for the throttle cable. Do I need to take off the whole throttle assembly? |

Providing the cable attachments match, the easier way would be to pull the throttle assembly. You may not be able to get the traction grip off the new cable attachment and might damage it if you do. Take note of the way the cables go into the throttle assembly and do it in one sitting. It can be a little tricky to get it back together right. If the new grips are separate from the throttle attachment, just swap grips (provided it wont slip off the stock throttle sleeve). |

Thanks Gearheader, It came to me in a vision last night that it may be easier that way. I'll do it tonight and report back. |
