This is a great day! A buddy and I hatched a plan to send a care package to a really good friend of ours in his second tour of the War (anyone remember the two front war we're involved in?). We got a case of T-shirts and a flag from our hangout, the Cannon Brewpub in Columbus, Georgia (and some other stuff, mainly necessities not provided by the military) to send to his guys. The manager of the pub is a riding buddy of mine and sold us the case of shirts at below cost, but the expected donations from the patrons (cheap bastards!) never materialized. So I made a limited run of lock-bars out of some scrap aluminum and took them to March Badness 4 to use as a ploy to get more donations. Ulywife took the lead and shook people down at the demo sign up table. Bottom line is she handed me a bag of money on Sunday and every expense we incurred was covered on the spot. The problem was we lost contact with him shortly there after... but I just got an e-mail from him and he's okay. We really expected some bad news... whew! Here is my friend Lt. Eric Cole. This was right before we lost all contact with him.
Here is a pic I just got this morning. Eric is in the middle. Damn glad to see his mug.
Here is the flag that one of those guys will eventually bring back to the Brewpub so we can hang it up next to the photo.
Thank you to everyone that donated at March Badness 4. Thank you Stone Mountain HD and Buell for letting Ulywife and your staff shake people down. Thank you BadWeb for everything. Thank you all. This is a rockin' day folks. Thank you, thank you, thank you. |

Glad I could help. It's the least we could do for our military folks. BadWeBr's prove to be the best time and time again! |

Good job DJ! I use my aluminum thing all the time. It keeps my receipts from blowing away! I would like a tank when he comes home. Can he pull that off? |

Money well spent in my eyes. I'll probably never use that aluminum thing but seeing that picture makes it worth taking up space in my toolbox. What's it used for again?????? |

The lockbars make women prettier, men manlier, and children smarter.
