I just bought an 03 9R with about 10K miles on it. I was driving it from Indiana to Iowa, and after re-fueling once, the Fuel odometer came on and won't go away. The fuel light is not on, and the trip odometer never started counting up (after ~100 miles traveled), but I thought it was only supposed to display when the fuel light was on. Is there some way to get the normal odometer to display again? I left it in Bloomington, IL, because I didn't want to run out of gas (and I was tired). Any help would be appreciated. |

Did you try resetting both the trips and the fuel trip?? Also is the odometer still counting miles? Is the Speedo still working? You should be able to cycle through the odometers using the left button, and using the right button held down for a few seconds will reset it. If all else fails I would disconnect the battery for 10mins and see what happens after its reconnected. |

There are buttons?! I didn't know that. Does that mean that I have a trip-meter? Wow, I gotta get to know this bike. I thought I knew everything about them already. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them when I go get it. |

There are online owner's manuals available. They only go back to the '05 models but if memory serves me correct, there's been no change with the instrument cluster. Oh, congrats on the new ride! |
