Read the last sentence of this article. Then, pass it along to everybody that doesn't get it, seemingly anyone looking to buy an air-cooled Buell. http://www.gizmag.com/go/2850/5/ |

I just sold my 03 XB9SL after having it posted for only a week for $900 more than I owed on it even though it had been dropped once. I was completely honest with the guy and pointed out all of the defects because I had a really hard time letting it go as it was my first bike. i thought at first the 1125R was my next bike but have decided on a 12R or Daytona 675. I know Im not ready for the 1125R yet. |

It will always retain a strong resale value. The word "always" is bad when used in this sense. There are exceptions. And in the US, the XBs definitely don't hold their value all that well. |

Buells hold their value here in New England. In my opinion, of course. |

"...get a mutual fund." Heh... that's what I always say to people who say they want a motorcycle but have never ridden one. It's the best advice I can give them as an experienced motorcyclist. |

Resale value is weak, for sure, here in the US. It is very different from mothership Harley but even the big twins have lost a little luster the past few years. So, obviously, it must be a good market to buy a used Buell, right? |

The resale value for XB Buells in the UK was pretty good up until ~2006. My 04 Firebolt cost £7645 ($15,000) and is now worth £4250 ($8600) trade-in, £5250 ($10,600) to sell. |
