I was thinking up a few unofficial names for the new bike. Maybe Buell might like to use one of them. The Buell 1125 "Waterbolt" or "Liquidbolt" The Buell 1125 "PuffyShirt" The "Ruelltax" 1125 The Buell 1125 "Adam West Bat Bike" The Buell 1125 "PillowPanel" The Buell 1125 "Coalition of the Willing" The Buell 1125 "Twin Big Scooper" The Buell 1125 "MegaMouth's" The Buell 1125 "Dual Venturi-O" The Buell 1125 "Inhaler" |

As much as I hate to get in on this thread . . . you may be on to something. My wife, who first clued me into this project a long time ago, keep asking me . . . "what'd Erik name the new bike?". "Uh. . . he didn't dear?" "What? . . how can that be?" "I don't know, he just didn't" "We'll just see about that" I'm betting a name will be discovered. Even Erik knows better than to tangle with my wife. . . .

Kinda seems like it should have a name. All the "production" bikes have had names. But maybe it's a nod back to the early Buells XR1000, RR1200, RS1200, RR1200, and now 1125R But as a serious suggestion, I think "Typhoon" would be fitting. It brings to mind water and keeps the Bad Weather theme. |

After seeing the bike in person with the wide headlights and fairing shape, along with the 'gill slits' for the radiators the first thought that popped up was calling it 'The Hammerhead' as in shark! The colors seem to work with that name too. Bret |

To me, those radiator pods look like a Cobra ready to strike...too bad Ford owns the name "Cobra". Of course, Honda owns "Hurricane". I don't care what Buell calls it, I just want to call one "mine". |

WWII fighter aircraft names? let's see... American: Mustang, Lightning (there you go), Thunderbolt (Jug, for short), Aircobra, Corsair, Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat (actually, just missed WWII duty), Black Widow, Warhawk, Aircomet (experimental jet). British: Spitfire, Tempest, Hurricane, Meteor (first British jet). Do I even dare to list Japanese and German fighters? No.... (Message edited by vanvideo on July 09, 2007) |

I have been thinking about this a few days, Best I could come up with would be the Buell Thunderbolt. Cause it still has the Firebolt Tail on it. My second would be to bring back the Cyclone name, just cause I always liked the Cyclone's. |

i really like the simple logo/name... plus the underlined '25' in '1125R' seems a subtle hint to the 25th Anni. designation. |
