This was started on the XB board but I thought it was better suited for here. I put my deposit down today. I'm first on the list at a local dealership. I looked at it this way: 1) I've already decided I need a new bike to replace my aging S3T. 2) It's only $500 to hold my spot. Not like $500 is going to gain me a ton of interest in the next few months. |

I'm in line as well... hopefully it will be a bit more comfortable then the Firebolts. If not I will be very disappointed, but I have a feeling it will fit very nicely. |

I'll be putting my deposit on one this weekend. Selling my '06 12R to a good friend hopefully. So I 'll get to keep it in the family. |

I have my deposit down too. Am selling my XB12R and GSXR 750. Based on the specs, the 1125R should be a nice fit for me. |

Sean, the bike seems to be exactly like a Firebolt with a new swingarm and a few other changes. I have a 12R, and this new model seems to be exactly like it. Don't hold your breath too much... |

Getting close to a deposit, waiting for a call from my "first choice" HD/Buell Dealer here in Fl. The wife is already starting to melt and I have only been working on her since yesterday when I saw it here. She never seems to fault me getting a bike too much as long as the money is coming in, I just hope if they release a "T" model that I can retrofit the bags and stuff to this "R". Sport touring and commuting is my bag... ... and with hard bags I can use it for business travel, RIGHT? |

So, when you put down a deposit, did you negotiate the full price of the bike already? |

Order placed today Unfortunately it appears we won't get delivery until November though IN fact, as we in the UK are going to pay US$5000 more for our 1125R than you guys in the US, I think it only fair that we get the very first batch ;) (Message edited by trojan on July 09, 2007) |

I just emailed the owner of my local dealer. Hopefully he'll get back to me on what I need to do to get on the wait list. I sat on the bike at the dealer meeting. It is LOADS more comfortable than the Firebolt. It feels about like the 12Ss. More legroom for sure. Bars aren't really low either. I'm 6'5" tall, 235lbs, with a 36" inseam. Here I am perched on the bike:

I will be getting one, I am going down to the dealer when the GM gets back Thurs. So, when you put down a deposit, did you negotiate the full price of the bike already? You really think you are gonna negotiate a brand new bike? Highly doubtful considering harley dealers usually only make a "deal" when they are clearing house. |

I'm on the list! Does anyone want to buy an 06 XB12Ss? Did anyone here a possible delivery date in the US? |

There is nothing on the airbox...that's the right side rear view mirror/turn signal. |

yep, i okay'd it with the bank to pick up a 12R i happen to stumble across, and get one of the new 1125's odds are the first thing i will do when i get the 1125 is strip it completely down and do some frame and wheel painting, maybe not, but probably. then start chopping on the fairings. of course, i have some other things planned for it or it wouldnt be MY bike! |

Nice thing about working at a dealer. One comes in, I'm planting my butt on it to see how it fits my lanky 6'4" frame. The wife's already given up. If it fits, it comes home with me. I'll figure out how to pay for it later, LOL. |

Buy the time I am able to afford one, there should be enough to go around. Tax returns and employee discount should help. |

I was in line, but may step back depending on how the tailfins up front roomba looking things stuck on the side look in person. Otherwise this bike is a perfect ten. |

So you're paying full price + freight/setup/etc.? That's what I'm curious about, whether you work out the purchase fully ahead of time, or just drop $500.00 and hope they don't try to charge you 15,000 when it shows up. |

UK dealers are saying it'll be November before we get an 1125. Who buys a new bike in November ? I'll wait until 2008 |

I'm giving thought as well. Probably going to put a deposit down and as soon as dealer gets first bike I will try it on for size. Hopefully it is not as tight as it looks. Gotta be nice to these 50+ year old knee's and back. David |

Just look at how Chad fits the bike. I think they will actually be quite roomy and comfortable compared to the Alienbolt. |

"I'm thinking about putting down a deposit and then spending the next 6 months figgering out how/when to tell my wife I bought another bike.... " its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. |

...personally, seeing as how the 'boys' in Europe had to go and fack it up for everyone involved in the release by 'slipping' the video out, I think Europe should get to wait 6 months or so before getting anything... |

Pushrodpete, I've found that if you put the new stuff at the rear of the barn you can normally buy some much needed time for explanation. I only buy black motorcycles and for the most part she doesn't really notice until she starts reading the insurance bill (who actually reads them freaking things?) G2 |
