Well...at least you didn't end up in the grass like I did so you didn't ride that bad! Great ride Nate! Don't know when I'll be out on the weekend again...lots of crap coming up, family cookouts, travel, etc etc etc... Nate - I'll call tomorrow to see about a multi order discount and I'll let you know... |

Ahhh yes, that was great therapy. Nothing like a big breakfast and a nice leasurely cruise tru the back roads. Twisting throttles on twisted roads. It is good for the sole. Nice meeting some of the NEBO crew today and hope to meet more of ya's on future rides. This poor old fat guy was beat, walked in the door, fell on the couch and ended up stuck horazontal for an hour, ok realy it was more like two. |

Slow day, JP? Good ride yesterday, Nate. Roads like that are why I HATE cities. I collapsed just like everyone else when I got home. Total caffiene/adrenalin crash. |

I'm doing a bunch of data collecting for my next two projects and the dwgs are on our intranet...so I have another tab open for this page and all you bums are actually working today instead of posting to give me else to read... Has anybody checked out the new bike on-line yet? Eric - new lights!!! lots of them too!!! ...and they've gone to the Pirelli's Diablo Corsa 3 for stock tires... |

I peeked at it. I'm just glad that it still has the Buell look about it. Frame looks like any other XB, except for those radiator shrouds. I wonder how it's going to sound? (Nazi IT has our soundcards disabled here) I hope it still grunts. The sportbike whine would suck. |

It's a 72 degree V-twin so it couldn't have the whine...it will still rumble, the next question is how loud or quiet is the pipe...I still think our pipes are a bit too quiet... |

I hope it still grunts. The sportbike whine would suck. Fear not. It's still a twin cylinder machine and will roar like one.But that roar now carries up and over 10,000 RPM!! Is it me or,has this board been in slow mode for the last couple days?? I haven't posted from work because i can't wait for the pages to load. |

Yeah - it has been on the slow side. 10,000 rpm red line...where will you hold it for power in the twisties Greg??? 5500? We'll never be able to keep up with you!!! |

5500? It's got torque AND horsepower. It's highly likely that the peak torque does come on around 6000 RPM's due to the oversquare nature of it's engine. It'll be limited only by it's rider's abilities. |

That new bike is one UGLY DUCKLING!!! Between them goofy scoops and that monster exhaust, Yikes! What were they thinking? I thought the stocker was big/heavy on our bikes, That thing must weigh a ton... Well The 1098 just got a big step closer to my shed door, Even the wifey say's so..... I'm just waiting for the NEW models to come out next season as I do not like buying a first generation bike....but maybe a crashed one at a BIG discount would tempt me...I will only pull it apart and make it to my liking any ways...lol I'm curious what problems/quirks this new bike will have... |

I thought the stocker was big/heavy on our bikes, That thing must weigh a ton... The advertised weight of the whole bike is TEN pounds LESS than our air cooled lumps! |

I didn't like the looks of the TT when I first saw the pictures. I changed my opinion when I saw one live in person. AS for the 1125R, from the pictures I have seen, It looks like a Buell to me. I can't waite to put eyeball prints all over one at the local dealer. |

I finally have tires on order...I should be getting them on the 17th...so next weeks project is to clean the rims, replace the brake pads (already received) and get the new sneaks on the rims. Eric - I'll be giving you a call when I get them in... I can't waite to test the difference... |

It won't be me that's for sure...unless I can talk Audra into buying a Buell instead of a cruiser...it may be worth a shot... |

90 Degrees=perfect balance..Go-Go-Go-Ducati! Wait until you experience the absolute pleasure of tuning those Desmo valves Variety is the spice of life The 1125r is cool too. |

Eboos being the first to ride the new bike shouldn't count...it's easy when you work at the dealership...you just pay the delivery guy to let you off load the first one...and happen to miss the entry door to the store... Tires...just how much of a pain in the but is the tire change and remounting the rims to the bike??? Just so I know what I'm getting into... I'm going to do the brake pads at the same time since everything has to come off anyway... |

From what Eric showed me, the biggest pain is getting the axle out because if it's the first time the wheels have come off, the axle likes to seize to the bearings. But don't worry, like everything else he's got a tool for that. Remounting is simple. And you can do your brake pads without taking the wheels off, but yeah, if you've go the wheels off you might as well do it then. |
