Heck, those 1000cc inline fours reign supreme when it comes to horsepower. I think Buell wanted something unique. Something that is a great handling bike with useable power. I'm sure it's fast as hell, and 95% of all riders couldn't use it to it's potential...but I'm betting it's not going to beat a Gixxer 1000 around a racetrack unless it's a REALLY tight racetrack. There is a reason Honda and Suzuki gave up on V-Twins, and even Ducati uses a V4 in MotoGP. BUT! Ducati is still whipping in World Superbike. I hope the rule change goes through to allow 1200cc twins so Buell could campaign in World Superbike. But I don't suspect you'll be able to surprise people for very long. People coming in to look at this new bike can test ride the whole line... and Buell will end up selling a lot more of all the models.
