It's difficult to know from the pic's and videos if those air scoops are aesthetically pleasing or just acceptable, or even better. In 2D they look pretty bulbous and a tad fugly. Maybe not going to win any beauty contests with the 1098 on the same catwalk, we'll see, but take away that nose fairing, bulbous air scoops and tidy the rear end, get rid of the passanger pegs etc and those awful belt guards, and there's a very very interesting Streetfighter waiting to break cover. Would be interesting to hear Rocket's comments too . I know he'd wish to congratulate Erik for achieving his (Erik's) dream, and I'm doubly sure Rocket would love to see this Buell beat the proddy 1098's. That would indeed be something. Might I therefore take this opportunity to pass on Rocket's warmest wishes to Erik and Buell for the future. That will be all, thanks Rocket's Ghost |

Isnt it crazy to see the buell pegasus on the side of such an amazingly high tech engine. I cant get over it... I am so used to the Lump and its incredibaly simple looks that I cant quit staring at the engine. Its like a alien! |

>>>It's difficult to know from the pic's and videos if those air scoops are aesthetically pleasing or just acceptable, or even better. In 2D they look pretty bulbous and a tad fugly. That is correct. In looking at the pictures, I would encourage you to withhold judgement until you see it in person. I think you'll be very pleased. The angle the photos are shot at, by and large, accentuate the pods. I dig if from the side, but I totally dig it from the front . . . I love, to quote Blake, the "Harrier Jump Jet" look . . this thing just flat works. |

Very Creative in its look. Modern, New, Different. I just looked at a photo of the new ducati 1098, and the new buell makes it look old and dated. REX |

Buell 1125R or Ducati 1098 , That's an easy choice. |

It looks good in the last picture posted but in all the rest it leads me to believe that the Firebolt is still the sexier machine. |

For naked bikes I have to agree with you, but the idea is this is more of a competitive Superbike for Joe Public. |

Absolutely stunning!!!!!!!! That is one sick looking piece of machinery!!! Time to get on Craigslist and see what I can get for my '06 Ss! The headlights scream CBR! Finally a modern piece of machinery to match those damn metrics!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'll just have to convince myself that bike'll feel too cramped for me... My new mantra is "I really don't need a speedy, sexy sports bike - I've already got a Uly" |

Anyone else think the muffler follows the similar styling of the previous shovel fairing lower that covered up everything down there before? As far as the "bulbous" radiater housings. You just have to steel yourself up for the verbal harangues from the crowd, of which there will be plenty, I'm sure. Just like the air cover on the M2, the "vacuum cleaner" hoses on my 1989 ZX7, and the "ring-a-ding-dings" of my RZ's and RD's. It is different and will draw the cretins from their perches and ratholes like flys to s***. Even more FUN for 12K is all I say... P.S. Any "Insider" know if those 'rad' housings have been crash tested in R&D? I guess with the "moto-journalists" that are all waiting in the wings now, they'll probably give us the answer to that question soon enough (Message edited by CurtyD on July 09, 2007) |

The radiator on my S4 Monster doesn’t complement the bike. If you want power you have to get rid of the heat and Erik did just that. The design was made for its ability to help with rider comfort rather than making it pretty. I think it looks good not cookie cutter like everything else. I like very much Great job Buell!!!! Looks like the air-scoops are going to have to double for frame pucks. Ouch, that'll be a tad more than $50.00 to replace. |

I may have found the replacement for my S3. The ride home from Homecoming made me think that something smoother would be nice. |

I mostly like the looks. I like the pods and front end definitely. I dislike the left over Firebolt rear end, but I've always thought the Firebolt was just ass ugly anyways. I find the muffler to be completely out of place. It looks like it was taken off the Batmobile (Michael Keaton version). Lets hope Drummer can fix that issue right away. |
