Ok Mr.Buell good job on making the 1125r.

Now Just give me a differnt tail section, taller windscreen, and better ergos; I don't need a superbike but would love a supertour

Something that will blow away the sport tour market.. r1200st, k1200s, Interceptor... the other bikes are too heavy.

Heck i'd even almost buy a 1125r and then purchase a kit that would convert the bike to more tour / user friendly.

I don't ride much or fast. But when I do ride it's for a reason like to the gym or store. Bags are a must. Used to take my old r110st to buy groceries!

Well it's pretty obvious that a touring friendly version will follow if you ask me. That would only require minor changes.

I agree with a "T" version, that would certainly be nice, and fill a niche that has been missing from the Buell lineup since they stopped making Tubers.
I don't really need hard bags, as I've been using soft bags for years with no problem on ALL my bikes with the exception of the S3T.
I'd just like to see a better tail section with more room, and space to bungee stuff to.

"PRETTY OBVIOUS??"

We have been waiting for it since the demise of the S3-T!

We will see...

I can't agree enough with the call for a T version. That was my second thought after "Holy crap! They FINALLY brought a real motor!"

My S3-T is still a good bike, but it's starting to get a bit long in the tooth.

Personally I'd rather see a long wheelbase XB-R with riser bars, lower pegs, hard bags, and more seating area (longer tail, or Ss tail maybe). Firebolt...Thunderbolt...pretty natural name progression (regression?). Unfortunately I'm not holding my breath...so I'll keep putting power into my S2 : )

Either the Xb or the 1125r would make a easy choice for a new class of bikes. Super TOUR. Why not just make a "tour kit"?

A lightweight bike that is useable in the real world yet is still fun.

Most of the loyal Buell owners still have/ride S2 or S3's. I've made adapators on my X1 to carry soft bags.

Well, I just pulled my deposit. The bent up leg position shied me away from the 1125R right now, I am having a hard time with my knee and just can't do any more time in a racer bend.

My XB9S with the traction pegs was killing me after just a few miles or so and I decided the bend in the knees from the pictures looked about the same as what was killing me.

The good news is...Drum Roll, PLEEZ..... There is the NEW Kawa Concours 14 sitting in my garage. It's a bit of a pig, weightwise, when not moving, but it sure is nice and smooth, handles pretty well for a tour bike, and pulls hard from 2 to 3K rpm all the way up. Lots more room to relax my leg, but I haven't been cross state yet.

Maybe two years down the line when they smooth out the 1125R and make it a sport tourer I can consider a jump back in to Buells, but I might stay with the KAW for a bit, it does have a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

Good Luck to all in the superbike world, but I made the right choice for me right now.

Those bags are ugly enough on the Uly.
Ya need something more streamlined to go along with the lines of the bike!

I think the Thunderbolt bags look good...as long as they came up with a better latching / sealing system, LOL. Also another inch in fore/aft and top/bottom dimensions makes it easier to stuff a leather jacket in, or a laptop.

I don't know. I like the uly bags... Maybe if they were glossy black they'd look better. The shape is fine imo.

Yea I think some aftermarket bags are all I need. Those look pretty good Cityslick, do you carry those. Have you put them on several SS's or TT's? How much?

Something like that are bound to be available for the 1125 in the future. For the trouble I've had with my Buell bags on my Uly AND having different Keys, it doesn't matter to me having after markets. I've seen some soft side bags for the Fire Bolts that should hook right up. Hey A tank bag and and a back pack can take me a long way.

The more I look at Bartimus' PS job the more I like it. I think that looks comfortable and looks good at the same time. Still I bet it'll be easier to graft a Uly rear to the 1125 than an old tuber rear. (S3? I don't know the tubers that well)
Maybe, if anybody getting an 1125 has one of those, look into it. I'd be very interested.

Cityslicker, do you know if the Uly bags fit up with the Hepco Becker mounts on the SST? I'm looking for a way to mount my Uly bags to a SST.

Thanks... Paul

Has anyone recieved there 1125R yet or know when they will be hitting the dealerships. My xb12 has been in the shop for a month now and looks like another two or three weeks before I get it back and thinking of trading it in for a 1125R. I have the extended warranty and just found out they only cover car rentals for ten day or 750.00 and now I owe the car rental place because nobody told me, so I returned it and need transpertation and want a new bike, and trying to decide on buying a 08 xb12 or the 1125R. Mike, from the latest reports some 1125r will be delivered by the end of the month. Most bikes "on-order" will be delivered in December. I don't believe it is possible to get it narrowed down more than that. That is frustrated some here.

Why has your bike been in the shop so long?

PS--If you can wait, get the 1125r.

I was just looking at the Buell accessories pages and I'm curious: If the tail section of the 1125R is the same as the Firebolt, why don't the Firebolt saddlebags fit?

The only bags listed for the 1125R are the tankbag and tailpack... not NEARLY enough luggage capacity to my mind...

The photoshop baggers are a bit scary looking. I expect to see different ergos on a serious long distance sport touring bike...not just higher handle bars and bags. Simple mods on an 1125r would like like a sport touring wanna-be...
