The "FJR front look" made the bike look real small, even with the 54.5 wheelbase. (Message edited by Tank_Bueller on July 07, 2007) |

Good news! The video has reappeared along with a cover article on Cycle World's main page. They should have known it was too late now to keep it under wraps. |

Has anyone else figured out that there are two different models in the vid? |

The vid is gone, but the article is up. I don't like the Japanese looking fairing at all, doesn't look Buell to me and I have to admit I am a tad dissapointed in the styling. The rest of the bike seem pretty cool though, but it'll be interesting if it has any of the torquey nature that made buell so attractive to me in the first place. It is going to have to be a mighty fine scoot to pry me off my CityX. Nothing like running The Pace in third (and never shifting) on your favorite twisty only to encounter another Buell going the other way once in the day. It is something special to share the Buell nod of, "Ha! You get it too!" and hearing that air cooled lump burp on by, while laughing that that 220-pound rider looks like a bear on a tricycle. Ahh, gonna miss the XB-days. For better or worse, this looks to be the beginning of a new Buell. --Sean (Message edited by thespive on July 07, 2007) |

My X1 has always been adequate for me. All I can say is that I am really impressed with Erik Buell and his group. I'll be laughing for a looooong time. I remember the last time the nay sayers were nay saying, Erik said, "Oh ye of little faith". Erik, I'll keep a cuban in my humidor with your name on it. I am sooo proud of these guys! Will I buy one? Why not! |

Thank you for that! It'll be a great bike for people whos skill have surpassed the XB12R and are looking for more of a challenge on the street (and track). But for me style of riding, I am still quite happy with my CityX. --Sean |

I have seen a few people quoting me. I didn't mean to come across like I don't like the bike. If this is the new Buell you better believe it is what we all have been asking for. I think I am just trying to not getting my hopes up, it all seams too good to be true for me. From the video that I have watched like 20 times it looks amazing!!!! I just don't want to be the kid on Christmas morning hoping for the red rider and getting lincoln logs |

I am with you there TQ. I think the bike is cool, it is just that the verdict is out on whether it will be right for me. It is just that the XB is sooo good for how I use my bike. --Sean |

If this is the new Buell you better believe it is what we all have been asking for. Not me... I'd rather have a new and improved S3t. New gauges, better lights, improved shocks (ohlins), 6 speed trans, perhaps a factory oil cooler in a sleek set up..... power and weight could stay the same. |

I couldn't be happier. I can't wait until my dealership adds one to the demo fleet (ASAP if I am able to pull any weight). If we do get one, I will have it every Sunday until I can afford my own. |

Well, that didn't work. Somebody in Badwebland is foolin' with the links. Replace "poo' with "aussie" "buell" "riders" (all one word) and see what happens... HBJ " Damn! That new Buell is cool!" HellBuelly J |
