Oldman: 40MPH in 2nd gear then pull the clutch, twist the right grip, and let go of the left lever. Hang on tight cuz you'll be going up. Some people are better at this than than others (I suck) but that's the general idea. RaY2K |

Raymaines.....Just curious. You have any pics of the catch can you instoled?? I brought my S2 in for the winter months and have added a catch can and a lot of mods. Now it's about time for the torque machine to leave its bedroom and out onto the pavement. I'll post the new pics when it comes out of hibernation. Roll-On!! |

Ok, i may not know alot, but i do know wheelies. On my S1W, i never need to use the clutch to pull nice, long, second gear wheelies. I found this technique to work well for me. At 30 mph, bang the throttle quick, then shut it. Then whack it WFO again. This will unload the front suspension, and throw you skyward. I found that your nerve will run out before you find the balance point, and your front wheel is never really as high as you think it is. Now, when i wheelie my RC 51, that's when i use the clutch. I usually fan the clutch at 20mph, get it up, and ride it out to about 80, or 90. I've shifted into third a few times on boththe Buell, and the RC but it starts to get a little hairy on the RC. I'm just not comfortable doing 100 mph wheelies...yet.;) |

Mike I'm not saying my Buell wont pull power wheelies because it will, I'm just more comfortable doing cluch wheelies because that is how I learned on my KX 250 |
