HEY GUYS I NEED SOME HELP Please look below and tell me whats wrong... I started to drill the front bolt out but am having NO luck what so ever. I found these while at a auto parts store getting new bolts for the exhaust. I went out to check a nut size and noticed that 2 header bolts were just not there. PLEASE IF ANYONE IS FREE TONIGHT OR TOMORROW AND HAS SOME TOOLS AND SOME TIME HELP ME OUT. I have an easy-out but I cannot seem to get a drill in there to do anything. Oh by the way I live in the snellville/lawrenceville area. |

Hey DT...that happened to Silverbullet's X1 when he had it no too long ago. Not sure how he fixed it. I think he drilled out and helicoiled it but I can't be for sure. You gonna go through some bits 'cause those bolt have seen so serious hot and cold cycles. Take your time and have plenty of patients. I'm assuming that is the front head. Another note: I've been lurking the classifieds of several supermoto sites. My choice would be a CRF450 already tarded out. The more I look the more the Suzuki DRZSM450 (black) tickles my fancy. I don't know much about them. Anyone have any comments to stear me in the right direction. I'm working on a fixed budget and can't exceed 5K. I found this one for 4K. Its pretty much stock: '06 DRZsm450

B_S, The Suzuki is an awesome little ride. From what I hear you would need to spend around $2000 to make it a real worthy motard. They are all gonna be down on power in stock form. A little work and it'd be great! Try looking for one already done with the good mods, ya know, pipe, jets, air box, maybe clutch. I'm sure if you look you'll find one already creampuffed out! Good luck on your search and look forward to seeing you on two again! Smokescreen PS: David, sorry I know nothing about engine stuff, particularly the tubers. Someone should be able to help you out! |

New12, Look up the specs. It ain't no speed demon like the atv sibling. All the bike rags have the same thing to say: upgrade the pipe, jets, air filter and clutch. As you know I don't own one so I can only go by what I have read. B_S is a small guy, maybe he won't need any of that to make it more interesting! For 5K you could almost get one of those new BMW X models! 650cc single goodness! Smokescreen |

SS....Thanks for the info.....I'll do more research. New12R....No doubt. Like you said Not having two wheels is like a crack addict with no pipe. A good note is that the wife gave me the green light to look for a new bike. She like the motard idea and is on board. She just wants to see me happy....Damn she rocks! |

Sanchez, is that you??? Ok, so I took a little break from tearing the kitchen apart to head back to ACE for a few extras and decided that Pro Line would help with the pain........ Super Duke sitting in the showroom, bike looks like a space fighter, very comfy ergos and the salesman said it had plenty of torque, they said that they did not get a demo so I couldn't ride it but it sure felt good sitting on it! The only problem I see is the $13,500 + tax price tag. |

BS, I opted out on the DRZ due to the power, or lack thereof. A 450 just won't haul my fat ass down the Atlanta highways at a comfortable clip. I like the KLR a lot! Sure it's a tad heavy, but I've done the carb and with some new Avon Gripsters, it does pretty good. Great bike in town! Now I need a pipe. Not a crack pipe...The other kind. Sanchez, Good on ya! Hi everybody! |

I'm heading out to the mountains tomorrow morning with my uncle (Rune) and his friend (Street Glide) for a nice, leisurely comeback ride if anyone's interested. We'll probably be at Dale's around 10. We're hitting the Dragon on Wednesday. |

*ATTENTION 3%ER'S!* Me and M_B are in need of your help. We need a video camera capable of recording 8 consecutive hours. We believe someone might have been in our house today while we were gone. Any kind of camera will work as long as it is able to record an entire work day. Thank you for you time. Smokescreen |

B_S, Nice bike..black is very stealthy. Sanchez, Glad your up on your feet..or foot and healing quickly. Show that ankle who's boss. LOL... Sorry Smokescreen, don't have a video recorder. You'd think that someone wouldn't be crazy enough to mess with a former Marine's house. Thats a death sentence.... Crazy weekend at the races. I'll post up more later but here's some results. I have some pics and a short video from the LWT-SS races. Not sure how good it came out, haven't seen it yet. Saturday races Formula 2 = Finished 20th LWT-SS = Finished 2nd Got me a new podium hat, this time a Bridgestone hat. I droped Michelin this weekend and tried out some B'stones for a much cheaper price. Michelin still hasn't payed me from the last couple of races I've won. Sunday's races LWT-SS = Finished 8th About 5 people past me on the start. It gets worse.... Formula 2, I stall'd out and couldn't get the bike to crank, I flooded it.... so by the time I got it cranked it was to late to get back in the race. I've never been good off the line, I need to work on it. I was not a happy camper... |

> Where is the rest of you? It floated off into the air to seek out Rosie O'Donnell. I lost a lot of weight in the first month after my injury due to all the drugs I was taking, and I've kept it off so far. I lost about 20 lbs. I haven't seen this weight since college when I passed it on the way up. Yesterday was pretty awesome. I headed out about 9:00 AM with my uncle on his Rune and his friend on his Ultra Classic. We went up Blood Mountain then cut over east to Helen for lunch. After lunch, we headed back west, rode 129 north again, then took Wolf Pen Gap back to TWO. I am happy to report that I went the entire day without falling off a single mountain. The sole of my foot is tender from disuse, so the peg vibrations made it pretty sore, but the ankle itself is fine. After two months out of the saddle, I wasn't in riding shape anyway though. By the time we got home at 6:00 PM, both my feet were equally sore, and my butt was ready to secede from my body. I won't be out on a track any time soon. My ankle is too stiff to shift quickly, and I can't get up on my toe to shift my body position very easily. |

My uncle and his friend are heading up to the base of the Dragon tomorrow and spending the night. I plan to meet them Wednesday morning (probably trailer up), ride the Skyway loop, and come back down the Tail. Do any of you have suggestions for a nice, long, scenic route they can take up and a place to stay once they get there? |

Well, if we let Acksel loose we would have nothing to come home to! I changed the door locks yesterday (that was fun) and now you can't get in...even if you do know the "trick" that Charlie had to use a couple of times. The violated feeling does not sit well with me, creeps me out that someone was in there. |

SS&MB.. I second Glitch's statement... and I want to say booby too.. so there.. I said booby too.... twice! That's like.... bewbies! WOO HOO! I learned something new about the buell this weekend. Removing the front wheel is a MAJOR pain in the ass... putting it back on is even WORSE! Is there some trick to getting the rotor to line back up in the caliper?? I spent about 30 minutes trying to get that dagum thing to line up. And my Buell looks funny hanging from the ceiling with no wheels on it. Have any of you ever used one of those motorcycle tire changers that you can buy from harbor freight? Are they worth it? I just paid $35 per wheel... off the bike, for mounting. Maybe it is just me... but that seems like a heluva lot of money for the labor. I could be way off since I have never had to put a tire on a rim... but it just seems redonkulous. |

I have tons of ideas. Just don't want to burn the house down trying to make it secure. Flashbangs and shotgun blanks are great deterants, but they make a hell of alot of heat and smoke, not to mention my house was built in 1940. Gotta get creative with this one.... maybe landmines in the yard, or punji sticks behind the door. Damn I miss Govt. destruction!!! Smokescreen |
