Just curious, does anyone know the stock jet and needle sizing (keihin) for the cyclones, lightnings, etc? Are they the universal for all early tubers? I had the Harley shop jet my bike a few years back and I was thinking someday that I would want to return it to stock config. |

45 and 190 sounds right. Going to a 48 on the slow speed, uncapping the low speed mixture screw, and setting it at 2-1/2 turns open will give you a perfect running tuber as long your are close to stock on the inlet tract. I did that to mine and it was still right on the money when I went to ham can air cleaner with a low restriction K&N filter in it. If yours is running right, I'd not want to restore it to stock unless you want to give the low speed smoothness, easier warmup, and better transition from low speed to main jets. Jack |

Crashbuell: Put in a #48 low speed, idle mixture needle 2 1/2 turns off seat, keep the NOKK OEM M2 needle, raise the needle 0.050, radius the slide,a #200 high speed, and a K&N air filter ... Set the timing mark just coming into the rear of the timing plug hole ... In BUELLing LaFayette |
