Southern_marine did our logo. It has really turned out great. We've done magnets, decals and a road sign with our logo. (See what happens when you get a controlling female involved-LOL!)

I know Rocco. I deserve much ridicule. I still have the pics and we will have a calendar. Someone suggested bumping it to '08 calendar year. |

Someone suggested bumping it to '08 calendar year. Sounds like a reasonable plan! |

First, you'd have to wait in line, then your leg may fall off trying to get enough kicks in to alter my bad attitude these days. ;) How long you in Austin? |

Austin is a good four to five hours ride from Kilgore. I'm not averse to visiting Austin. It's a very cool town. |

Hmmm, Mapquest shows two Kilgores in Texas. One east of Dallas and the other southeast of San Antonio. I assume your down near the coast? I fly back tomorrow, not sure what my schedule will be, but if I get a weekend off, I'd like to come down and have a few cold ones with ya? |

If there were 100 Kilgores. . . there'd still be only ONE Blake! |

Blake's in the northern Kilgore. I didn't know there was a southern one--I may have to ride over there and take some pictures, just to mess with Blake! rt |

I think Blake is a Kilgore Urbanite as opposed to living in the suburbs. Don't let him play country boy on you . . . I've seen him move fluidly throughout Gotham! |

Yes, the Kilgore near Longview is the one. Not sure what the other one is like. RT sure has a way with photography. Court, You are WAY too kind. The nice group of folks riding with me in the van as we tried to slice and dice our way from Queens to Staten Island would surely disagree. The fact that I was taking photos while driving might have been a factor. In my defense, it's tough to concentrate when a big Aussie sporting a concrete lion keeps advising that "you're on the wrong side of the road!" |

Kilgore. .. the city so nice they named it twice. I like the ring of that! Ahhhhh. . . the Lions. Ever since the "left looker" was stolen (I suspect a mob heist) I've had to put on additional security. Even the wild and wooly would be wise to approach with caution!

Hey Bartimus! If you're in Austin you have NO excuse not to visit with us HellBuellies. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hellbuellies/ We meet every Thursday night at Opal Divine's Penn Field (3601 South Congress Avenue, right behind Expose' "Gentlemen's" Club), 'round 7-ish. We're mostly harmless! Just ask Blake or RoadThing. I'll even volunteer Sir Chadley to buy you a beer! HellBuelly J P.S. Stop in at Central Texas H-D/Buell if you wanna. Ask for Jay at the Parts counter. |

If you've never seen the Kilgore Rangerettes in person, you've missed a defining moment in your life. There's nothing like a line of 80 professionally choreographed and synchronized high-kicking gorgeous young ladies to leave an impression on a man. The Rockettes ain't got NOTHIN' on the Rangerettes. There's also the East Texas Oil Museum. |

yea, i'm in Austin, staying at exit 252 off of I-35 in one of those extended stay hotels... what is this Opal Divine's Penn Field? I'd like to swing down there and meet some of y'all. I did stop by central HD/Buell, was surprised I wasn't accosted by any sales people while checking out the bikes, LOL. I was surprised to actually see a few Buell shirts! I did a mapquest of that address on congress, so I may be able to find it. |

Bart: If you're going to be around over the weekend, the ranchito is just an hour and a half east of you. Ping me for directions and a map if you want to come out to the country.

Bartimus, Opal's is a restaurant/bar with a nice outside deck. The owner rides (BMW) and takes good care of us with reserved moto parking and reserved tables on the deck. Easiest way to get there from where you are is: South on I-35 Exit 231/Woodward Turn right at light (onto Woodward) Go to next light and turn left (onto Congress) Look for a steep driveway on your left before you get to the next street. Go up driveway. Opal's is at the top on the right. We'll be on the deck. Some folks are gonna go to the Mean Eyed Cat bar on 5th street before going to Opal's. Call me if you want directions to it (a l'il complicated).
