Dave Gess, you're one of those friends i mentioned a minute ago that i've never met :-) altho, your name came up in many conversations i had with Court when i first made his acquaintance, and i'm always eager to read what you say on BADWEB because of your long history with Erik. thank you for taking the time to share your words of support and encouragement, they're very much appreciated :-) Ferris |

PPiA, i've not met you, either (i'm not really sure we've even really chatted via e-mail -- have we?), but i've read with pleasure your words of wit and wisdom many times here on BADWEB. "pretty flowers, very pretty flowers"? well, i guess that COULD be me............. :-) (and leave it to ol' Triple A ((Amazingly Anal Aaron)) to mess things up with formulas and theories and the like!) anyway, it's really decent of you to step up here and say Howdy, please know how much it means to me. (and glad i could be a formative part of your Buell affliction :-) Ferris |

Ferris, Glad to hear you're still "riding to lean" All your help in the past, with sorting through the Buell BS, and helping me decide on my S1, then my S1W changed my motorcycling life, no doubt. I'll miss pacbog, end of an era, but that can only mean bigger and better things to come. You ever need help with the Blurr, don't hesitate to ask. Congrats on the Viffer. and welcome back. I loved FB's written/typed imagery when I first logged in here at badweb. One of the reasons I hung around(at first). I even put him on my buddy list(not that I'm a stalker). O.K. I admit I AM a closet AOL member. The first step to recovery.... I was sure glad to see Ferris back and hope he will continue to entertain me...(it IS all about ME, for me) P.S. A Buellfest in the Keys would be GREAT...let me know when it is going to happen. |

Ferris, as a matter of fact I did meet Hoser at the Sportbike West ralley last August. Buell was a sponsor of the event and about 35 Buell riders from western Canada met in Kelowna for the event. Hoser and his wife were among the Buellers. I rode south from my home just ouside of Edmonton to H-D, Buell of Southern Alberta where Jeff (Hoser) works and we rode together with about 12 others to meet the rest in B.C. A good time was had by all and Buell bought us all a steak dinner on the friday night. The next morning we took a ride along the west bank of Okanogan lake on a fist rate Buell road. Major fun! I plan on going to Sporbike West again this august even though Buell will not be a major sponsor this year.It would be nice to see you there if you want to do a Canadian Rockies ride this summer. |

cuz Bob, do you know i never got my Top Time of Day trophy from Reg for my last Donner B'Trax (remember, he gave MY trophy to one of those kids that was COMPETING ON A FRICKIN' BICYCLE!!!!!) Cory Call was funny after that deal, he says, "Ferris, pretty slick that you were quicker than me (you stinkin' bitch), but, you GOTTA lose the chaps!" glad to hear my absence has been kind to your trophy case :-) Ferris |

Johnc, Hoser's a GREAT friend, and a TRUE motorcycle nut. the first time we ever knocked back a few, in a pub near Harrison Hot Springs (after we'd finished riding for the day, natch), he turned me on to some Canadian Hemp beer. pretty gnarly stuff, but.....after a couple they start going down a litle easier :-) the ride from Vancouver up to Whistler and then beyond, past Duffy Lake and Lillooet (aka The Border Raid) is pretty tasty! speakin' of drinkin', a certain Hooligan by the name of Shooter had a pretty intense evening of same in the comfy confines of Whistler Village one night... ...say Shooter, do you even remember any of that nght??? :-) best, Ferris |

No baby carriages this year,Ferris, though my son,James, went through on his hotted up Go-Ped,smoking the rear tire and sideways in the turns. He was faster than some of the bikes.Very entertaining.Cousin Bob,are you having a problem finding a XR-100?I can always search around here as there seems to be alot for sale.Let me know and give me an idea of price. |

hey Ferris, my adventures north of the border are classified, strictly on a need to know basis. as far as the nickname,It's an honor to have my nom de guerre (sp?)given to Me by one of the original hooligans. Still living on brainless island, but not for long. Gonna put my adobe on the market and move to North Kitsap. I want a xr 100 track in my backyard. Btw, I see Vern and Betty on the boat, they have filled Me in on some of the earlier adventures of pre-Ferris JH. And, I guess You know your brother is doing commercials on local cable. hang in there Bud |

FMJ, that day of BattleTrax at Donner, roasting in the sun in full gear while kids pedaled bicycles and moms pushed baby carraiges thru the course was damn frustrating. and not only did my TToD trophy go to one of said kids, i never got my Storz gift certificate for winning, either. BUT..........to see Wacky Jack Patrick ride the course in Deb's thong bikini was (almost) worth it! :-) it was also cool to hang with Don Canet from Cycle World while waiting in line. (it was NOT cool seeing how much faster the SuperMotard guys were than us mere mortals :-( oh..........if i ever get whipped by a Go-Ped, i'm hangin' up my racing chaps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ferris |

He's done some pretty remarkable things with Liberty Bay, must give the locals a buzz to see him come in and land in his helicopter :-) have you ever stopped in there and checked out all the cool car memorabilia in the showroom? thanks for the comeback, please keep in touch :-) Ferris |

Jvv, Donner probably isn't realistic for me this year, but i'm gonna be a (small) part of the CA BRAG ride. on Friday May 17, i'm going to meet Racerboy and V2Win--who will be inbound from St. Louis for the BRAG gig--somewhere near Death Valley or Lone Pine, and spend the rest of that day and part of the next escorting them south towards San Diego, via every nasty, gnarly, sportbike-worthy piece of twisty, tortured tarmac i can find (and trust me, i know a BUNCH in the southern Sierra :-) this particular excuse to flog-a-motorcycle-like-there's-no-tomorrow i've dubbed "The California GP". i've already done a little recon, and tomorrow (Sunday) i'm gonna head out and do some more. i'll keep my plans updated on the CA BRAG page here on the Quick Board, and any of you guys and gals that want to join in on this deal are plenty welcome :-) thanks for the ping, hope you can make the CAL GP Ferris |

Guess I should expand to other areas more than just the NW section. Bob told me about your post so I had to read up. I knew you were in trouble way back when but I guess that's not something you talk about openly. Good to hear you're out and about. I've been through too many Buells and others but now have decided to settle on a T595 Daytona. Still your friend - Ricky |

cuzzin' Bob, i was up there a couple years ago, flew up with my son to get our stuff outta storage, drove home in the worst U-Haul truck in their entire American fleet (what a piece of crap, i will NEVER rent from U-Haul again). since i've been driving for GSO (about 25 months now) i haven't taken a vacation. haven't wanted to afford to, i guess. THIS year, however, i'm gonna take a few days off, starting with the Cal GP ride i've been yakking about on the BRAG California Tour page. have thought about coming up this year for SPLASH (if you guys would have me, that is :-), but don't think it's in the cards. and besides, i REFUSE to ride in the rain anymore!!! XOXOXO, Ferris |

Rick, great to hear from you! you are/were a charter member of the whole PACBOG gig, and i remember with great fondness all the rides and stuff we did together. yeah, you're right, it was hard for me to accept what proved to be inevitable, and it's always been hard for me to open up my insides for all the world to see. i'm reasonably sure that what i've said via this forum i could NEVER say in person. anyway, i'm thankful that you took a second to chime in, and i sure appreciate your friendship so now you're a RAT, eh? (you AND that Buellnuts feller, hmmm?) so what is it, something in the water up there? :-) Ferris |
