Dang! Too late, Eric-- I bought one for the Uly two weeks ago.
Sunday's open for me, but I'll have the normal weekend chores to catch up on. Saturday's out because I'm planning on a hangover due to a Friday night drinkfest with some friends in Boston.
Let's mount up at a good greasy spoon this time! I need me some cholesterol and trans fats!
Eric- any chance I could swing by tonight & drop off my Diablos? They should be delivered to my office today. Heck, I should have just had them delivered to your "shop"... |

This is my desktop wallpaper - a Uly with an "S" tailsection and a gorgeous Micron. I noticed something the other day that I can't place. Does anybody know what this is?

New tires'....yup. Uhh,can we all make a point of riding Sunday? I'm "thinking" the Pomfret loop or a combination loop between Thompson and around the Scituate reservoir.
I'm dying for a group ride.My wife has been chirping too..She "may" be along on her Buell for Sunday's ride.Unless there's a "no girls allowed" rule which isFINE by me.With Eric's bike back and Scott's new tires we should be raring to go! |

anyone want to go for a ride to Queens NY????? LOL
I've been looking for a new car lately as mine has had enough of living in an abusive relationship. I can't live with a car payment anymore so I have been looking for another Maxima, used of course. Well I found a 97 Maxima with, get this, 35K miles on it for 5K. The drawback is it is in NY. Going to pick up my buddy's car trailer and go and pick the car up this afternoon. Should be a fun day. 
I should be available for a ride on Sunday. |

Yea I did the truck to work today as well. it better be pouring on my ride home so I will feel better about taking it.

Finally somebody tries to figure it out. I have no idea what it is, but if it's something that makes me go faster or makes the tires grip better, I MUST HAVE ONE.

Is it a spool attached to the exhaust? Could be tied into the airbox via the snorkel.Do the snorkels exist on Ulys'? I don't think so.

Scotty - I got no idea...but it looks like there is a dial face on it...maybe recording data during track trials??? Either way it adds weight to the vehicle which increases your normal force which ends up increasing your friction between the road and the tires so you better start looking on the websites for one!!! |

My only guess is MAYBE an aftermarket oil cooler, but the only ones I've seen online are for tubers.

I just zoomed that picture in as much as I could and it has a pretty substantial looking frame work to it - leading me to something more permanent than track test data but I don't see any kind of fins or hoses so I'm voting against the oil cooler. Was there a description of the bike and what was going on when the pic was taken...maybe there's a clue in there somewhere? |

Im in for sunday... will be riding on saturday as well if any one is interested!...Ok now im looking for tires...where would you go for the best price? i now you guys are hooked on the perelli's but i have a friend who is running a michelin that is all synthetic and buy looking at the lack of chicken strips and seeing him ride the tires stick.. even in places that made me pucker a little! any help? |

Nate - I'm going through Motorcycle Super Store on the net...www.motorcycle-superstore.com
They sell most brands so you should be able to find the one you're looking for.
For more searching I've found Google pretty good. If you know the model that you're looking for just type that in with the manufacturers name and you should get a bunch of hits for people selling that specific tire.

I did Motorcycle Superstore as well. I've bought a ton of stuff from them and I've no complaints. Another super-cheap place is parts411.com, but their website is crap for information, so do your research elsewhere.
Woah! I just hit another crap website I know of with killer prices and I would have saved maybe $10 if I bought there: accwhse.com |
