Can it be put on an 03 XB9R? What problems would I encounter if any. Someone vandalized my bike and damaged the swing arm and it needs replacing. Is it any better that the stock one I have now? |

Somebody vandalized your bike? What did they do that caused damage to the swingarm?! May those losers get hit by a train! |

The took a saw and down the swingarm all the way to the axle. I don't know how they pulled this off. I didn't notice until I was washing the bike. I've got to become a home owner soon. |

The '06 Swingarm is supposed to be lighter and stiffer than the '03. I have no idea what problems you may encounter, if any, in trying to install it on an '03. (Message edited by MACBuell on June 28, 2007) |

Aren't the oil lines different in the newer XBs? Will the lines from an '03 still match up? I think that would be the only problem. |

The oil lines are different and I was led to believe that the motor casting is a little diff as well. I took a digger with my 04 12r at Road America and I pinched my swingarm and picked up a "lightly scuffed" 06 swingarm and painted it matte black with a matte clear coat only to find out that it might be more work than I expected, if anyone is interested, I'd be willing to sell it for 75.00 |
