Lately we have been getting apart, sometimes I thought we were not ment to be together, she mistreated me sometimes, and I have abused her too once in a while, but still loved her so I decided to do something about it and after I dedicated some quality time to her this weekend she is just what I have always dreamed about again!! Let me explain myself, I have installed a Magura hydraulic clutch kit (From American Sport Bike) on my 99 M2 and now she is almost perfect, clutch pull is so light (Compared to the 8 year old cable) I couldn't believe it at first, I thought it had air in the system, but no, it's working great, before the conversion the clutch pull was so heavy that even using all four fingers I had a hard time sometimes to fully disengage it, (Yeah, it needed oil) but now I can actuate the clutch with just my left index finger, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I only use one finger routinely, but that it is possible. Shifting is so much easier now, I shift up and down all the time and do not rely on torque so much. Installation was a breeze, did it myself with very basic tools and blue loctite, and believe it or not, the hardest part was to pull the switch connectors out of the old housing. I used the Magura fill & bleed instructions instead of the American Sport Bike's and it's an easy one man operation. I'm so glad I finally decided to do it and I highly recommend it to anyone who feels his/her clutch pull is too heavy. Thank you Magura and American Sport Bike |
