Looks better as a jet ski than a quad, doesn't look like you can get too rough with jumps and stuff... |

That's one of the coolest ideas I've seen in a long time. Like Spiderman said, doesnt look like you could get away with much on the ATV side. I think I'd want to inspect the bottom of the "hull" for damage before heading into deep water. Would still be a kick butt toy though! |

I've seen those things before, but those are just computer mock-ups. Has one actually been built and ridden yet? |

Those things look like more fun than a box full of puppies! Reminds me of that sixwheel thing: http://www.maxatvs.com/index.php?src=photo&srctype =lister&ref=Vehicle%20Images&submenu=Gallery&album pos=0,5,1&category=Vehicle%20Gallery |

My uncle used to sell a tracked ATV. Pricey, mostly sold to mining companies & rich people. I went on a sales trip with him once, in the Black Hills Of S.D.. After a "normal" sales pitch, hood open spec sheets, etc. He told me to hop in, belted us in, then tore off, up a talus slope, spun on it's axis, down the hill, across a creek, up the bank, across the kind of terrain that would slow an Abrams, slalomed through the trees, and back across the creek, in the middle of rapids. The gold miners bought one. Looking at the specs, I would swear we did more than 16. Then again, My uncle may have had a Kawasaki 750 triple installed...... http://www.cushmantrackster.com/ (Message edited by aesquire on June 24, 2007) |

I would take one of these over anything else amphibious!
This is a '43 GPA based off the 1/4ton GPW Jeep. After seeing they are going for $60-80K, I decided to restore a '45 WW2 1/4ton trailer (which can float) and just put a little trolley motor on it if I want to go amphibious haha. |

Yeah, l think the tracked thingy is just a concept, but it looks like it would be a hoot if it worked well. |
