Sure is... AnticipaciĆ³n: Buell-Rotax Buell XB RR, the last model of the Buell mark destined to a use in circuit, will have its commercial version. The new Buell will be animated by bicylindrical a Rotax motor and, although still its exact appearance is not known, we we advanced to you how it will be with this fotomontaje. |

Also, we understand that the secondary transmission will have to be by chain, like XB RR, instead of the typical dentated strap of Buell. But I like my dentated strap.... |

Buell does not sell enough bikes that Harley would likely fund development of a Buell-specific engine. I wonder though... Sales of the VROD are said to not be that high, hence the relatively low price (compared to the others in the HD line). How do Buell sales stack up against [just the] VROD? It got funded... |

I *hate* it when my strap gets detented... |

"Erik has said this repeatedly, although the proposed Roehr superbike using the same engine seems remarkebly compact, " And a remarkably light 430lbs dry ;)... It's it's a "v-rod" engine that we see, it'll be a version re-engineered for a Buell. The "sportster" version if you will. The V-Rod engine is ~210lbs dry btw. |

Here is a little something I have been brewing over for a while: Unless Buell beats me to it... Rotax + Buell will happen: Ideas - check Rotax engine - check Buell "rolling chassis" - check Back-up bike - in progress (almost there) Funding - in progress

Well to stir up the pot a little. One of the previous posters stated that Erik said he would NEVER EVER put a VRod engine into a Buell chassis. What he didnt say was that he would put in a VRod based motor with say the internals but different cases etc (thats not technically a VRod motor by any standards)... See how you can put a play on words when you want to stay out and in the topic at the same time confusing the masses. |

If it went in a Buell, it wouldn't be a V-Rod engine! It would be a Buell engine! O how clever. I still don't see it happening. I don't see water cooling happening. But either way, I'm a Buell fan, in design and thinking overall, and if coolant comes into the picture, you know it will be designed and engineered in the Buell fashion and it will be put to good use! |

I think the above pic is a photoshop, but I'm no expert in detecting such. |

Great pics guys! I LOVE that pic, Rubberdown (except for the Suzuki muffler tip). Just a thought...The V-Rod motor is due for an update and the Sportiest version (Street Rod)has been dropped. Hmmm, what if it were redesigned, lost about 50 lbs. and grew a 6th gear... Bret |

here's my "rumor" Buell is going to make a Mule/Gator/Rhino style vehicle... the name will be the Buell Bison, an American iconic symbol that is strong and powerful...i'd trade my Kawasaki Mule in for it, i wonder if Kevin would make a Drummer pipe for that? scare all the animals out of the woods ! |

I'd love to see what Erik and crew could do with the Naro Car. That would be the "Mule" I'd want to see. |

I think the V-rod engine (without coolant or radiators) needs to lose 60lbs just to get to the weight of the current engine... It's HIGHLY unlikely.... If it is a "revo" derived engine it will only be so in the marketing department. That said... Buell may go back to the design stages they were at before HD yanked the Revo engine and go from there. I just can't wait for the 8th... |
