Wears bars are within a gnats ass of meeting the rubber on my Dunlop rear tire at 4,675 miles. Check tire pressure weekly and run 38F & 40R. Searched and read a whole heap of posts on tires. Looking for anyone who had similar wear on the Dunlops and found a longer wearing brand. Help! I've got a 5,000 mile trip planned and don't want to include a tire change. |

Way better than I've done. I've averaged 3500mi a 616, although I think my current one will last longer, since I wore the sides down in CA. |

Have about 2800 on my Conti Road Attack rear. Just ordered a new one last night....because she is about done. After my 500 excursion tomorrow......she will be. The Blue Right Pkwy eats some freakin tires. I toasted a Pilot Sport on my R1 in one ride. Sumbich. |

I got a little over 12,000 on the rear with Michelin Pilot Roads. A good choice for traveling. |

Bienhoabob: Did you start with the Dunlops? If so, what kind of mileage did you get? Will definitely give the Michelins a try. |

I got a little over 8,000 on the stock Dunlops. Mostly Interstate travel, 10-15 miles over the speed limits. |

Got just over 6,000 miles on my first 616... thought that was pretty good. I don't change my tires until the belts show 360 or nearly so. I don't know how you got 8... Ohh... 8,000km I got it! I need to double-check, but I think I got over 9,000 miles on the Scorpion Synchs on my Lightning. |

3,000 miles with me and NZ conditions and the Dunlop is spent. Scorpions about the same, Avons about the same. Wear the edges out. Licence to wheelie though I haven't used a rear tyre that's lasted 4,000 yet. |

5K miles out of the stock Dunlops (probably into the wear bars closer to 4K). Replaced with a set of Conti Road Attacks - got 8500 miles out of the rear (lots of highway). Left the front Road Attack on and put a Metzeler Z6 on the rear last week. |

Mine was down to the wear bars at 4700 and I changed it yesterday morning. I thought that was pretty good mileage. I've used them up lots sooner than that! |

I only got 3800 miles out of the stock Dunlops. I got 6K + out of a set of Pirelli Scorpion Syncs and consider them to be a much better tire all around. |

I got maybe 3700 out of the 616, and now have about 4800 on a 220 and as far as traction goes, it was done a long time ago, even though it just now got to the wear bars. Never had any Dunlop feel good after half the tread was gone. They seem to get really squirly and vague feeling. Set of Metzler Z6's on tap for this week if I can find time to spoon them on myself. |

5400 on the stock 616's. Avon Azaro's went 9500. Now on Avon Storm ST's since the Azaro has been discontinued. Front tire wear on the Avons at 9500 was not bad and looked good for another 9500 but since I switched models on the rear the front was changed also to keep handling/performance balance. |

I got almost 10,000 mi out of my first rear 616. It hit the wear bars somewhere around 9000 and I rode it for a couple more weeks while waiting for the backordered tire to arrive. Outside of the Saddlesore I did a couple of months ago, I haven't done anything really different with the second rear 616 but it only lasted 8000mi. The original front is still going. I'd like to find a rear that could last up to 20k as I commute 400mi/wk and needing to get a new tire every 6months is beginning to suck. |
