ok, i feel like this is the stupidest question ever, but I give up... I have an 03 xb9s. it was yellow. i ordered black fairings. I have the left and right panels of the chin fairing. I took the old chin off of the bike, but I cannot get the panels off of the center gray piece. There are two dark colored bolts on either side. It looks like it should push through, but I've been banging, bending and wedging at this thing forever and can't get them off. I even decided to just break the yellow panels off and use regular screws and nuts when I replace it, but I still can't get them off. Can anyone help? |

they are rivets. you will need to drill the center of it out. |

+1 I advise using rivets to put it back together though. I tried using nuts and bolts w/ locktite and it still rattled itself apart. Used 4 new rivets and no problems. Smokescreen |
