Hurray! My T-Rex stands came in yesterday! They seem pretty good, despite multiple paint defects (looks like the powder coat may chip off easily... no big deal).

However, the directions on how to operate the triple tree attachment are pretty skimpy when you've never used a stand before. Sure, I got it put together like the directions show, but the attachment "freewheels" up and down on the front fork pins. Can someone explain how this can support the front of the bike and not drop it? The instructions make no mention of it.

Thanks!
~SM

I don't have the t-rex stands myself, I have the pit-bull stands that work in the same way. The way the front stand folds up it looks like it wouldn't lift the bike, but it does.

The pin on the top of the front stand that slides into the steering head will keep the top of the stand vertical while you lever the bike up in the air with the lower half of the stand. As long as you have the right size pin to fit into the steering head it will be fine.

In case the instructions didn't mention it, don't try to use the front stand without first putting the bike up on the rear stand. The front stand does not hold the bike from falling from side to side, so you need to use it in conjunction with the rear stand for the bike to be stable.

Just put it together as it says Believe me it works I have this same one It works on a pivot like system The pics you posted look like you have it put together correctly. Just slide the peg in place and lift (be sure it is on the rear stand first) It may seem wobbly but it is good. As a side note be sure to glue the rubber (support pegs) on the rear stands, otherwise they may slip/ roll and the bike can fall. I would use grip glue or gorilla glue
