This Sunday (weather permitting) the Celtic Motorcycle Club is hosting their annual Spring Poker Run. Details at http://www.celticmcc.com/pokerrun2007.html These guys always find the most AWESOME twisty roads and if you like riding those kinds of roads you owe it to yourself to participate. I'd also like to point out that the "After Run Party" at their clubhouse features some of the best food I've ever had at a motorcycle event. I know what I'll be doing this Sunday... hope to see you all there too! |

Well, I don't know if anyone from this board took my advice and did the Celtic Poker run, but if you didn't you missed 140 miles of beautiful, twisty roads through Rockland and Westchester County followed by their usual feast (Shepherd's Pie!!!) at their clubhouse at the end (with the AMA Races on their flat screen TV). Awesome!! |

went to bear mtn tonight with some of the guys at work- (they all ride rice rockets!) didn't get out of greenwich until 7:00p...went to the Wed night car/bike show. entering the first twisty on the pkw from peekskill i hit the apex and there was some water! washed out the front end but i caught it. all i could think of was how interesting the fall was going to be as i could have collected 2 of my friends...extreme pucker factor! still, it was a fun ride! aren't they all? |

It's that time of year again! The Ramapo 500 will be held the weekend of July 14 & 15th upstate New York. Two days, 500 miles of twisty back roads with a campout/party in between (hotels are available at your expense). Price includes dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning, and camping at the halfway point. For details, see http://www.ramapomc.org/RAMAP007.pdf I know a couple of you took my advice last year and had a great time. Different roads/mid point every year! Hope to meet some of you next month! |

Not sure if this is too late, but it was on Lexington at 41st St. The streets within 2-3 blocks of the site are still closed or painful to maneuver-- I live a few blocks away. |

Thank you Alf. That helps me to relate to the situation a little better. Sorry about the damage and resulting traffic. |

My sincerest apologies to all for my having 'advertised' a free antique motorcycle show being produced by a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational corporation. Rest assured, this insensitive act will not be repeated by myself or any agent of the non-stock not-for-profit educational corporation in question. thanks for understanding, and, again, please accept my sincerest apologies (i attempted to delete the original threads, but could only delete my responses. if any custodians would be so helpful as to delete all of the 'advertisements' which I'd posted for this event, I'd be very thankful. again, my sincerest heartfelt apologies for this act) (Message edited by tramp on July 24, 2007) |
