Ain't it great when that happens and you're wearing the right gear . . . TOTAL "E" TICKET RIDE! Glad you are okay. Court |

That's flagrent disrespect of an S3 right there... I'm glad you're ok too. How'd the bike take it? |

What hit the ground to make that light show? Hope the bike is recoverable, and glad you are OK. |

Hey . . on the "bright" side your headlight looks in perfect working order.

That light looks brighter than when I'm riding at night. That wasn't the first time the S3 was skating. The Buells do crash well and for me that is a good thing. I'm beginning to believe that I should carry a spare shifter peg because it is the primary lose in my low sides. The rear when away so fast when I rolled on the throttle, I kind of think this had something to do with my rear cylinder going away. Absolutely no feedback from the rear. A special thanks to Zee foto for the free pictures of the fall. Joe (Message edited by bad_karma on June 14, 2007) |

What days did you ride the Dragon? I was there the same weekend and got this picture Sunday (5th or 6th - I don't remember the date). Is this you I wonder?

I know that corner. There are two of them that sweep left after you leave the store. They are double apex corners with decreasing radii as you approach the second apex. You are fooled into thinking you're clear, and then the road tightens up and you see skid marks showing you exactly where physics and the laws of motion intend for you to go. The very same thing almost happened to me. |

Bill The best I can remember it was the 3rd to the 6th of september. I rode my yellow S1 most of the time. Joe |

Nice form! Excellent exhibit as to why good gear is imperative, you just never know when you'll need it. It's why I keep telling my buddies, "There's no hay bales up here...!" A smooth throttle on the Dragon is of ultimate importance. I just leave my 919 in third the whole way since it will pull from 25 to 100 with all the torque available. My P3 was a Blast up there too! |

Dang! If you're gonna ride like that you need to hang off the side of the bike more sport. Great place to learn is going to the track. I used to go to Deals Gap 3 times/year but started track days this year. Don't get me wrong, I'll still make a yearly trip down there but the rest of the time will be spent on the track with an ambulance 42 seconds away rather than 42 minutes away. |

John I have been considering the track. I really mean classes. But I don't respond well to control freaks, you know, governments, sanction bodies and dictators. Joe |
