C'est cool Jerome! where are you in France? I am in the Tarn-et-Garonne region almost every summer, hopefully this year with the S1WL again. I love your tiny french license plates, I had one made in Albi last year but I'm afraid of putting it on the bike cause it's illegal here in Holland and I don't want to unnecessarily wake up sleeping officers... France is definitely THE country in Europe to own a Buell. A plus tard, S1WL Hein a Am*dam BTW, any chance of seeing you at the BeNeLux Buell trackday @ Croix, may 9th? |

Hein, I live in the middle of biker's paradise : Grenoble, french Alps ! Nothing more than the Buell gives me the same feeling on two wheels in the twisty roads here as being on skis on a nice downhill... flip-flaps, jumps and gas ! I hoped to be able to show up in Croix but family reasons will keep me home at that time. Maybe another time. I'd love to test how far I can go with the new Metzeler Sportec M1 on a racetrack. On an open road, they're truly amazing, loads of grip, absolutely confident feeling. I thought that the 207 were the ultimate tires for Buell, I have now to revise my opinion... |

Let's go for another two shots, I really love my Buell, especially the muscular right side !! I've tried to remove plastic everywhere possible and it's replaced either with carbon fiber or aluminium.

Slackerbuell : easy. Just point your browser on http://www.bagster.com They apparently have two versions for the X1, depending if you have the air filter scoop or not. There's a distributor in the USA as well. It's a very nice product with great fit, ingenuity in the design and perfect protection of the tank. The tank bag is nicely made as well, with a rain cover permanently included in a small pocket below the bag. It's not because it's french, but I highly recommend this product. |
