It was fun riding with you today Scott."F Gilbert Hills" is VERY technical to be sure. But as i navigated the terrain, just being able to stay in the saddle was very rewarding.Next week...Vietnam. We mountain biked today at a very challenging state forest. |

Challenging? That's an understatement. I'm going to have my legs amputated just they won't hurt anymore! But, since I'm a glutton for punishment, yeah, see you next week. Just map me out a "bail-out" point. |

So, no house for this weekend. Is there a backup plan? What do we have going on for bike week now? Whatever we do I have to leave Sunday morning as it is fathers day and get down to Lakeville, MA for mid afternoon. |

Jpb......... Are you going to Lakeville directly from NH? If so you can ride south with me, I'm in Taunton. |

With no place to stay and an aversion to camping ever since I got out of the service, it's looking like a possible day trip for me. Took a gas bath this morning. Stupid auto shut-off on the station's pump failed, and I'm sitting here in the office smelling like a mechanic. Oh well; it'll force me to wash the bike tonight. |

I have that aversion too. One rainy Laconia bikeweek back in 1992 tenting it and bathing in lake Winni....did it to me. |

Yeah - leave NH, bypass Grafton and head straight to Lakeville. So a day trip on Saturday? |

Sounds pretty cool for a Saturday run up north.I've been to the races many years.Saturday will also have qualifying races all day.And the Harley and Buell trucks usually are there as well as the whole carnival atmosphere as the "Weirs" strip.Let's go up! The weather is forecast as promising. |

Meeting Place? I'd say some Dunk's along the 495 corridor. Or do we want to do 95? Shouldn't be any traffic that early on a Saturday. I can link up with JP on 140 or something, then we'll cut back east and meet Greg (and anybody else) at a point of his/their choosing. |

Sure! Let's work it out! But departure should be around SUN-UP from up your way. Get breakfast "up there" at around 9a? Uhh,can we set a steady speed between 80-100? These things will do 100 all day long. And when out on the highway i like to "burn up" the miles. |

Sun-up is around 5:30 up this way. I can do it if you can! But then breakfast would have to be a Dunk's- nothing else opens that early. Oh, wait... are you saying Breakfast in NH? That's cool too. They got Denny's up there, right? And I think 80 is good. Any higher and I'm wound so tight by the end of the ride that my a$$ could turn coal into diamonds. Also, the radar detector pickup inside my helmet is on the fritz and I won't get it back from the manufacturer for a couple of weeks. -Bad enough that all the points on the wife's & my insurance are all because of me. She gets kinda grouchy when I add more points, especially from the saddle of a bike. |

Cool emoticon..I know the landscape up there and can find a breakfast joint. We must stop by BCM too, while in Laconia. Now we need JP's input. |

I'm in! Greg - you're welcome to camp out up here for the night on Friday if you'ld like - I have a very comfortable couch - no tent required. Meeting time - sun up will work for me. If 495 is the elected route a good place would be the exit for 20, there is gas and a Dunks. If you want to go 93 then Methuen is a good place to meet up. Take the exit for Pelham Street and there is a Dunks right there, and gas should be right up the road. I'm with Scotty on the MPH...especially with all the cops that will be out watching for bikers... Scotty - I should be cutting your plates tomorrow at lunch - I'll send you an e-mail from work if I get it done. We can figure out a time and place to meet. Anybody else need to hook up? NH guys? |

Party at JP's Friday night??? Hehe. I may show up Friday night, but it'd be late.Should we camp out there? I lean towards meeting you early Saturday morning.Anywhere between/around the Mass pike/495.Or likely i could just go up 146 to Grafton.Isn't 495 a stone's throw? |

Ok, so Dunks on 140 in Grafton, 6am. Then I guess we'll hit the pike to 95 or 495. Think we can squeeze all three bikes through the tollbooth on my fastpass? Is that even illegal? It's just like a driving through one in a dually with three guys in it. Think a Statey would buy that excuse? And when's JP going to log in & find out that we've planned his weekend for him? |
