I bought my XB9 used, it was layed down at low speed and did what I thought wa minor damage.....right up to the point where the mechanic was trying to take the rear wheel off and noticed that the very edge of the swing arm was "welded" to the nut. He broke his wheel removal tool (it wasnt hardened, it was aluminum) and said his air wrench wouldn't budge it. Anybody remove a rear wheel with this problem? |

The nut? Are you talking about the axle itself where you insert the Buell hex adapter to fit a socket? |

Forget who, but somebody was pointing out that the wheel removal "tool" (the two nuts) makes it difficult to get a lot of torque on that axle. They suggested welding the tool (or building a new tool welded up). I welded mine up, just because I look for any excuse to melt metal. That might be worth trying. Giving it a good coat of anti-sieze is a good idea on re-assembly. |

I freed it up using a hardened wheel tool and a breaker bar |
