Jim - Glad you and EZ got together. His blasts look cool and as Sporty Mark noted before, the Blasts do draw a crowd. Have fun and a safe trip home. |

I know people have been traveling and riding with the great weather we have been having (Not today, but then again we needed the rain). Kristi and I were talking about moving some adventures to the C3 adventure board so they do not get archived. We would also like to see the Meet C3 thread come back alive with picture of members and bikes. Another idea, we have a ride this coming up weekend forming in Asheville. Would it be easier to add sub-threads for East / Central / West North Carolina rides? What do you think? If anyone has any other ideas on how to organize C3's little corner of the web, let us know. |

Yesterday's weather was great for a long ride. We spent the whole day in the twisties. Ran across one Buell rider, an old friend of BFubba and Ted, up on 181 -- his name was Terry. It was a good day. Off to the aiport,,,,Later C3. |

The sign advises you that if attacked by a mountain lion, you should fight back. Duh I didn't have to test that theory out. |

Hi C3'ers. We're having a Buell meet next Sunday June 9 at 11:30 AM at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant near Orangeburg, SC, at the intersection of I-26 and highway 601. I know it's a pretty long haul for most of you (~250 miles from Raleigh, ~130 miles from Charlotte) but if anybody can make it down, it would be great. So far we've got at least 5 or 6 Buellers that should be showing up. The discussion thread is here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=37&post=899737#POST899737 Hope to see some of you there. Hugh |

I'm itching for a ride Hugh, but I am still rebuilding the Bionic Bike. We can make it better. Well at least not all scratched up. I have a couple of pieces missing so I know I will not be up and running by next weekend. The M2 sprung an oil leak when I was in the mountains last week. As I was trying to work my way to it, I realized I was spending all my time on the M2 and not on the Uly. I started on the M2, but switched off to the Uly because I know what it needs and I have most of the parts. I hope to have the Uly road worthy in the next couple of weeks. |

Carlos, Glad to hear the Uly is getting fixed. It can be a full time job keeping multiple bikes road-worthy, can't it? It turns out next weekend is also Thunder Tower HD/Buell's (located east of Columbia on I-20) 1-year anniversary. Some of us may ride up there after lunch; it's about 50 miles from Orangeburg. |

Anyone else besides Rubberdown planning on doing some riding around Asheville area this weekend? New to the area, so I thought I would go to the BMWRA Rally at Biltmore and check it out. I also know a guy at work who is running a Suzuki GS rally out of Robbinsville. Just thought it would be a good time to meet/ride with some new folks. M2nc - I think the WNC & ENC/CNC threads for rides would be a good format to start. Makes it easier to go look for anyone riding in the area you are in (or going to) for last minute get togethers. Calos, What parts are you still waiting on for the Bionic Bike? I have a long list of spares that were going to make the trip to AK with me and I might be able to help. Trip has been canceled until another year, I made it as far as Key West, Fla.
Mom had a heart attack and I ended up spending some time in Northeastern PA helping dad; all is well now after the triple bypass but she is having some memory issues that we hope will pass with time. Kristi, I got the hat and shirt when I got home. Thank You they are great! |

Man - Bummer about your Mom and the trip. I have seen medication cause memory loss. My sister-in-law had a stroke and she had memory loss. The family thought it was because of the stroke, but ended up she was toxic from one of her regular meds. This was found out by running blood work to determine if her meds were within therapeutic levels. It turned out she was toxic. Usually after such a surgery, the doctor medicate the patient to the hilt and we are all different. Your mother may just be having a reaction to the medication because she can not process the protein from the meds fast enough. Just a thought, heart related illnesses do not usually result in memory loss, but then again I am no doctor. As for parts, I have only two show stoppers we still have to order. Front module left is one part. The bike took a shot at the flyscreen. The plastic screen bounced back but the fairing support broke in two placed underneath. One was visible the other was not. That part I ordered but the Left Front Module which attaches to the fairing support from underneath appeared fine so we did not order the part. When I got the fairing support off, I notice the ears that hold the two parts together were broken on the module. So it became wall art too and am waiting on the replacement The second part is the Foot Peg Right Rider. We thought we ordered the right part, but gave the wrong part number and I received the Foot Peg Right Passenger. I do not know if they are interchangeable while I wait for the module. Rubberdown - Sing with me know... SJC - "Can you show the way to San Jose, la, la, la, etc, etc, etc" Have fun in Vegas - Jim |

Carlos, Thanks for the info on the meds. Mom has an appointment this week to see her regular doc to reevaluate the meds and dosage levels. I can help out with the right side rider foot peg. I currently have one set in stock. Let me know, can send it to you in the AM. Front module under support zero balance on the inventory. Jim- just remember somebody is paying the electric bill...they don't call it lost wages for nothin. Have a ball Vegas is a cool town for two weeks or so but couldn't ever imagine living there for long. Used to go twice a year when I was in the AF. |

I was fine tuning my newb riding skills on 74-A this past weekend in Reynolds district near Asheville and stumbledupon another buell.. Didn't get a chance to talk to him, so just checking if he was on here. Looked like a couple year old firebolt and he had a long braided pony tail... Arcticktm: I might be willing to ride around A'ville again this weekend if the weather is nice and something going on... The ride to lake lure is awesome imho, but like I said.. I'm still learning.. |

Jim, Almost forgot- check out the Crown-n-Anchor 1350 East Tropicana Avenue if your into British style food and PUB. They have more beer on tap than you will be able to sample in a month. It is just down the street from UNLV by the airport...if you know what I mean. Disclaimer: it's been 5 years since I was there last but can't imagine it has changed much. |

Fly - I appreciate the offer, but without the Module, I will not be able to get the bike on the road. I believe the foot peg will be no big deal, but if for some reason there is a delay, I just may take you up on it. |

Now in RDU. Home sweet home. My stop in Las Vegas was only an hour. Of course they have slots in the airport, so you don't have to leave if you want to play. |

Carlos - you asked about subdividing things... It makes some sense for things you don't want to get lost in the day to day traffic of the group. Pictures, ride reports, and such. As to splitting it by region, I'd only do that when the traffic gets to be so much that it's difficult to read. Otherwise you isolate people from each other for no gain. |

In just 14 short hours I will be headed for Berlin, Germany via Charlotte & Frankfurt. I'll be gone until late on Monday the 18th. Don't worry, you can't shake me that easily - I'll be checking in once in a while, but don't be surprised if any y's and z's are transposed... B.O.R.G.
