Thanks Eric, makes me think that having a head temperature gauge could help with consistency at the track.
Dan, If it looks ok in the morning I would consider coming out the way.

It's supposed to clear up by 10am. We'll meet up at the Mobile right off of Exit 1 on 101 at 9:30 or so if it is indeed clear.

Well, Scott showed up! Doesn't anyone else around here like to ride anymore? Any way, We had a nice day. The sun was out; though very hot, the scenery was nice. Found a couple of nice twisty roads and stopped to say hi to another Scott. We then took a lunch break at an Indian restaurant and headed over to MOM's for some helmet shopping and bike looking.
Scott and I got to talking about a ride to Mt. Washington. So, if anyone on here is interested, we were thinking about doing a ride up the mountain on June 30 or July 1. Anyone else interested? NEBO is welcome too. Pass the word.

As far as im concerned for this tues bike night. If it rains out we should all plan on the following tues....
Anyone that wants to get into some good action afterwords alot of people head up rt3 into nashua down amherst st theres an industrial park where alot of people stunt in and weelie down the straights. I most likely will be heading out there after bike night if anyone is interested. |

Agreed. If it rains, plan for the following Tuesday.
As far as the after action, count me out. Not really into the "Sport Bike Lifestyle" stuff anymore these days. Used to ride with a group in Texas back in my R6GixxerCBRZookie days. It was fun, but too crazy for me these days. Every week someone either crashed, was arrested, or worse. These days, I take it to the track to let out some steam. I prefer the racing side of motorcycles. Road racing, flat track, Moto GP, etc, etc. Frontin', stuntin', and lookin' cool is ok, but ridin' safe and survivin' is more my ticket now.   |

I was reminded today that my daughter has her track awards ceremony on Tuesday night so it is just as well (for me) that the weather looks iffy. So for me it will be the following Tuesday.
Sorry, I rarely back out of stuff - and wouldn't except for my kids! |

Well Scott if you won't be going this week I will wait till next, Just as easy for me. Better will be heading our way by then I am sure.
My bike is headed to the dyno on wednesday anyways and I have some things to get ready before heading there.
Will most likely be heading to Laconia next weekend, who else is going? maybe meet up |

It's kinda funny, but just like last year, every time we try to plan something, we all end up with something else to do.
Family definitely comes first and the weather looks crappy any ways. If you guys are waiting, so am I. See ya'll next Tuesday.
I've got half of my headers polished any way. Thanks for the tips Scott!
I'm planning on heading up to Laconia for a day trip either Saturday or Sunday. Ride up in the morning, check out some bikes, eat some lunch, then head back home in the after noon. It'd be nice to ride up with some other Buells. Let me know.

I just dropped the bike off at the dyno, if it returns before sunday I will head up Laconia with youz guys.
If not I will be up there Thurs.,Fri., sometime and will stay a day or two. Any others heading up end of week also? |

The exhaust looks great! I still have to polish one pipe. It only took me about 2 hours to sand both pipes and polish one, but I got so busy with work, I haven't been able to finish the other one. Should be done Saturday. I'll post pics when I'm finished.

Yep, I plan on going depending on the weather. There are a couple more from NEBO who might be joining in. How about we meet at Manchester HD at 8 or 9am? Some are coming from pretty far away, so the time may have to change depending on what others say. Again, there is a slight chance of rain on Sunday. If it is raining when I get up, I won't be riding. I'll post here in the morning (early) whether or not I'm going. Basically, if it's raining in Manchester when you wake up, I won't be going. Only a 30% chance, but we'll see. Fingers are crossed.

Hey Scott,
Man, those tooling marks are ridiculous! I can't believe how many gouges and scratches there are in the pipes! I pretty much gave up and just polished what I have. I spent hours sanding by hand. Stainless steel is a very hard metal and doesn't sand easily. Anyway, they don't look half bad. Here are some pics.

Looks good Dan! Maybe they are deeper on XB pipes? I initially tried using a dremel, but swear it wasn't doing much so I switched to hand power....Maybe it did more than I thought?
If you want to start over some time with a couple of pkgs. of sanding rolls we can try hitting it with my dremel sometime... |
