If your not interested, then don't post, find someone else to nag. I don't normally respond to posts such as these, but he made it just WAY too easy... It's not JUST the post, the title of this post, or even that this whole thing with the "lemon law" sounds fishy as hell, it's the attitude that's getting him this continued flack. "Deal of the century" I could have walked out of Hals last weekend for the identical bike, including Tax, Title and license for less than what's being asked here. But good luck with the "deal of the century". |

...it's the attitude that's getting him this continued flack... ...got it in one Steve... As long as he keeps rising to it, people will keep throwing the bait... No hate involved...hating takes too much energy... |

Well unlike our hillbilly friend "Jasonk" we here in Ca. have better things to do than bash for no reason. If anyone could just get a new XB12 R for 10,000 then I bet they would sell more of them but it just dos'nt seem that way. Is it the deal of the century? Maybe, maybe not however it is a smoking deal on a brand new "UNUSED" bike. The deal is really meant for those in Ca. so that shipping wont kill you. As for the chump Jasonk, well if I ever find myself slumming in WI. I'll sure look you up to say.............HI. |

I don't get the fuss. If you think it's too much make an offer, or, don't buy it. It is priced a whee bit high, but he'll either a.) Realize it and lower his price b.) Someone will think it's a good price, like the bike and buy it, or... c.) Never sell it. It's worth whatever someone will pay. |

TO ANY POTENTIAL CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS THREAD: if you want to have an adult, civilized dialogue regarding any aspect of the sale of this bike, great. note the emphasis on the words "adult" and "civilized." if you hang a post here simply to be rude, i'll delete your post or modify it to remove the rudeness. if you don't have something constructive to say, please don't say anything at all. thank you. if I ever find myself slumming in WI. I also was planning to stay out of this, and I understand that comment was towards one individual, but be careful with the words you're choosing ... plenty of us here are from WI, and remember this as well .. these bikes that have us all flocked here also came from WI.. We've exchanged e-mails and I have no problem with you Wayne, but that kind of comment might end up offending people it wasn't intended for... The guy has the right to ask whatever he wants for the bike .. whether or not it's a deal - well, that is up to the potential buyer .. |

If anything, the thread is generating a lot of interest in the way of traffic. Might be a shrewd marketing ploy. "Yeah this here is the infamous BadWeB Classifieds "Deal of the Century" XB12R, only one in the world! You could print out all the posts onto stickers and plaster them onto the bike. |

deal of the century...i understand the flaming, the title is begging for backlash, i bought my firebolt way under MSRP new and untitled from the dealer with 6 miles on it. Tax,title, prep, setup, etc etc was still under MSRP by about 400 bucks out the door total...their is no logic in asking more than MSRP for a bike that has been titled unless it has several hundred or thousand dollars in desirable mods to justify it. that is just my .03 cents worth (deal of the century on my new unused .02 cents worth) sorry 98s1...i couldn't help but let you see the logic in it |

Hey court, whats up with the timing chain info on the KLR? Just askin. |

The 2nd page is the one you need. . . just loosen, let the chain assume it's natural position and retighten. Easy. Failure to observe REALLY results in engine (as in complete replacement) damage. I tossed in a couple bonus pages.
