When you decide that Buell doesn't give a damn about their customers, and that other manufacturers treat their customers better; I suggest you go over to AdvRider and check out this thread. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23 4603 |

I generally find the BMW dealers are very helpful and BMW NA is virtually worthless. Buell on the other hand has good customer service at the corp. level but terrible customer service at the dealer level. |

VW car dealerships are out right horrible and stupid. There is a 6 page long thread on a VW chat board to list dealerships who use the incorrect oil in the TDI-PD engine. I had to educate one dealership and I used zero tact! |

That's why I change it myself. The dealership where I bought my TDI didn't even carry 505.01 oil! Needless to say, I never went back. |

I started doing my own maintenance a long time ago. I found one one Buell dealer that was honest and helpful, but less than competent. Over $1K for non waterproof saddle-boxes? I have a buddy with a KLR650 who had me get a couple of 60mm mortar boxes for which he welded up brackets. I don't know how much his bracket material cost him, but I gave him the boxes for free. |
