Author Message   Gearhead Posted on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 - 09:58 pm:        Only two Buells were at MAM on the 27th! Matt Sheahan and I were the only Buells competing in the Sunday CCS races, both of us are amateurs as well. Although we looked like team bikes, both with 900#, both black firebolts, we actually just met last fall at Blackhawk and I'm sure he was just as surprised as I was that our #'s and bikes are so similiar. Matt really carried the flag, running in 5 races with the following places... GT Lights 3rd LW SuperSport 3rd LW Grand Prix 4th LW Super Bike 5th Super Twins 5th This was my second race weekend and the official start of my rookie season. Even though the Lightweight class entries were very small it gave me an opportunity to gain lots of avaluable points! My finishes were... GT Lights 4th LW Formula 40 4th LW Grand Prix 5th Even though I followed Matt in the standings, he pretty much left me in the dust! I was very pleased with the bike set-up and my lap times got quicker throughout the day and I won money in the Grand Prix race!! I'm going to enjoy the glow because when I return to Blackhawk, the harsh hand of reality will be there to slap me around!! Mike completed licensing school the day before and Katie got in some track time on her Lightning as well.
