Im pretty new to the whole Buell scene(street bikes altogether)and was wondering if there are any fellow Buell riders particularly in the Hampton Roads or Tidewater area of Virginia out there?? I have not seen 1 single buell on the road yet!! Although I was told by a fellow employee that there's another Firebolt where I work(Norfolk Naval Shipyard) but still haven't seen it. Although I mostly ride with crotch rockets it would be pretty cool to meet someone more in 'my class'. |

Hello My fellow 7 Cities Buell Riders!!! Just got my 07 Lighting. I'm in Hampton. I'm thinking about making the ride up to Poe's Pub on the first Sunday in June. Anyone interested? If not maybe just get a chance to ride local, away from all the traffic! |

Pick me up on the way!! Great to find more Buellers in East VA.! Not too many "great" roads here, but there are plenty of places to find. Tank |

Well, it sounds like we've got a little ride coming up. We need to pick a place to leave from. The address is 2706E Main Street. That puts it in the "bottom" if you know anything about Richmond. It's off of rt 60 and 360 by the old Main Street Train station. I'm on the Pen, so if you guys want to, we can meet at the McDonald's on Mercury Blvd, in the Coliseum area around 8 am and gas up for the ride. let me know... |

Hey Tank, if we hit 60 from 199, we could pick you up at the McD's @ Bush Gardens. Hey, maybe even take 60 all the way in. what do you think? |

That sounds like a nightmare group trip straight through Colonial Williamsburg. No offense, but a bad idea "On any Sunday". Rt 199 crosses 64 again near Lightfoot, and there is a BP less than 1mi from interstate off of 199. From there we can cross rt60, and head for rt5, which will take us almost straight to "the place". It's a great, smooth ride. Trust me when I say that nobody wants to ride a "sportbike" up rt 60 from Wmbg to Richmond. Just an idea, as ya'll will be traveling farther than me. We have a couple weeks to work it out. Tank |

Here's a map of the route. Should take about an hour from the station to the Pub. What do ya'll think?

Sounds good to me! Thanks Tank, I forgot about the Sunday Drivers in Williamsburg. I just knew that 64 was not exactly "exciting" |

Melvin, stay in touch, I may change the route to make it easier for the folks traveling farther. Like MacDonalds at Busch Gardens with a different exit strategy. Less 64 for ya'll. June 10th is the way I see it happening. (Message edited by tank_bueller on May 29, 2007) (Message edited by tank_bueller on May 29, 2007) |

ALRIGHT!!!!!! This is sounding more and more like fun. What are we talking, 6 bikes? Glad to have you along for the ride Kevin. Would you prefer to meet us in Williamsburg or Hampton? Hey Cycleaddict, how many guys do you normally see at Poe's anyway? And PLEASE confirm June 10th for us. Thanks, Mel |

How about Hoss's? It doesn't really matter to me, I live on Ft. Eustis so I'm in the middle. I met a bueller (we were at Hoss's) named Terry this weekend who rides a blue 9R. He's from Williamsburg so Tank might have seen him around. (Message edited by kmfw160 on May 30, 2007) |

Directions to McD's Busch Gardens. From the east, take Busch Gardens exit off 64 look for sign: Rt60/Williamsburg Make a left at the light. If you pass Anheuser Busch, you are going the right way. McD's is about 1.5mi on the right, on Rt 60. Watch out for the locals.....clueless. |

Hey Guys... Anyone here ride a Yellow Lightning? I was on the way to my daughter's soccer game Saturday morning and saw a yellow XB and I think yellow X1 on 664 Southbound just after the 64 interchange. It was my first time seeing an XB on the Pen and I was just wondering if it was any of you guys. |

I do, but I was nowhere near there on Saturday, and I was on the white 9R Sat. also. (with no fairing, one silver wheel and one amber wheel, it just looks wrong. ) |

I will find out if I can make it or not later on this week. I bought 05 XB9R a couple weeks ago but it is in the shop for a stator problem and headlights issues (the bike is still under warranty). I have only put 100 miles on it and was hoping to do a shakedown run before the warranty runs out the end of the month. I am hoping to make the ride. Van |

Van. I have read almost all of the headlight issue threads, having just acquired an 03' Bolt with 25K miles. They come from the factory with a "1/2 plate" installed in the low beam blocking half the light. The previous owner removed the thing, and I can't tell any difference between the high or low beam. I have not taken them apart to inspect the "heat damage" yet, though. Hope you can make the ride... Actually, if your bike is not ready, I have a 25k mi Bolt that needs "break-in". New chain drive(geared for accel), no fairing, one mirror, two different wheels/tires(I'll fix that Sat), and a host of new parts with very few miles. If you want to drive to my house Saturday morning before 8am, it's all you. (edit...make that Sunday morning) Although "new to me", I would trust it to go wherever. Let me know.
