Congratulations!!!!! Be sure to let us know where your beat is so we can ride past on our bikes and wave hello, most likely on two wheels and somewhere close to the speed limit.... Seriously though, congratulations. Now you have to find a place to live within Milwaukee County. |

Wow! I am in awe of police, military, firefighters. I just don't know WHY anybody would desire to be a police officer it today's age with lawyers calling the Department every time somebody is arrested and then is "offended" "hurt" or "insulted" - and the media painting them as working against all those "poor innocent police victims." Spent a couple days this last month with Stacy Lim (LAPD) during her scuba training. She's now at the academy training - establishing training doctrine/methods/standards. She took a bullet to the mid-section that blew through her chest, lung and nicked her heart - and that was because she was following procedure - identifying herself as an officer BEFORE firing. The guy got off 5 shots. She won the gunfight (bad guy assumed room temperature) - but she died TWICE in the E.R. http://www.lapdonline.org/inside_the_lapd/content_ basic_view/27327#Stacy Lim I wouldn't be a cop. I don't understand anybody wanting to be a cop. I can't believe how much we NEED cops more and more and as crappy as our society treats them - it never ceases to amaze me that people are still attending the academies! I want to say THANKS to all you law enforcement officers for covering MY a$$ so I can continue sitting in society's cheap seats! (Message edited by slaughter on May 24, 2007) |

...needs a house within the CITY limits of Milwaukee...unless the city has changed its stance on housing requirements for public employees...they do have some VERY cheap options if you are willing to buy a place in a 'lesser' quality neighborhood...2 cents |

Doughnut, remember where you came from. You will soon have the power to ruin peoples' lives or help them. Most of all, don't be a d!ck and you'll be fine. |
