Drummer CF on my XB12Ss. It has as a deep mellow sound that is very pleasing. It's loud but not raspy or harsh so it isn't so offensive to the ear. |

Ok- I used to ride a Blast w/ a V&H, sounded deep, throaty, smooth, and loud. I upgraded to a 9R. Stock pipe is way toooo quiet. I've been following the debate on pipes here, and trying to decide the better pipe. I am leaning towards the D&D, but hear alot about the others. Can I ride after changing the can w/o changing the air filter/ ecm right away w/o damage to my 07. |

I wear earplugs almost all the time riding. Unless just going around the block, or in competition. XB12 has a Drummer, I asked kevin to make it quiet, and it has a very nice sound, LOW PITCHED DEEP RUMBLE at idle or cruise, giving way to a DEEP,Dangerous sounding , EXUBERANT V-twin GROWL near rev limiter. |

Don't be so self conscious about your Odie Pipe. I thought mine was too loud at first but then the first time I rode with a buddy who has a drag type pipe on his Harley I realized it wasn't that loud. I do use earplugs for longer rides, but then again I did that with the stock pipe. If you start drilling air holes into the inner airbox you will find that to be louder than the pipe. Go blip the throttle and have fun. |

check out: http://www.americansportbike.com/ The "xb shootout" was pretty complete. btw, I'm really happy with my buell race can. Not much quieter than jardine at idle (but less throat). Sounds about the same at speed. Any difference in sound is worth the performance. Although I was surprised how close all the different cans came out in the shootout. |

Looking to trade my Polished Aluminum Race can for a different one (Loud is Good). I just don't like the powerband the Race pipe has. I prefer more torque on the low end. Thanks Jon |
