http://www.kontraband.com/show/show.asp?ID=6476 Maybe someone slipped me some brownies, and that's why it feels like time is so slow? Wait, nope, if it was brownies I'd at least be asleep now. |

Check this bike out ,fast and electric That is awesome. I can't wait until this technology makes it into production vehicles. Electric motors provide instantaneous acceleration, only limited by traction and vehicle weight.} |

MR, I would ride it! Sanchez, that is the funniest thing I have ever hear, "Ummm I ate some pot and I think I am dying!" Dude would have never made it as a cop with that kind of paranoia anyway. Chi_Stud, that really sux, I dont know if they will let me on the track with a zip tied Buell fender. |

Not really sitting on a fence, just trying to come up with $100. Gotta come up with the money for G jr's trip to Europe, his brother's cash for baseball camp, the list seems never ending. I'm optimistic though. |

Charlie, check with Connie, she has one that hardly ever sees any use. Ah, dude, SOME of us don't have rich uncles to PAY OUR ROOM AND BOARD and Sugar MAMAS to pay for our fun! We have to WORK FOR A LIVING. Be a lot easier to ride if my boss didn't expect me to show up with my hair done and un-melted make-up. I'm sure YOU can relate! And WHAT were YOU doing Sunday Mr. Smartie pants?!? I was RIDING! Chuckster, Kdan said no problem to use mine just a matter of how and when you can get it. Bike is still broke but part is on order so get with him on the how and when cause like I said earlier Some of us have to WORK for a living! (Message edited by Bambi on May 23, 2007) |

a fight, a fight, a 3%er and her knight, if the knight don't win, we all jump in... ~j/k~ Shred, your fax and walk through made my track day perfect... the suspension worked like a charm... I started with the beginner class just to learn the track and work on my lines before opening the throttle... so I asked the instructor after the third session if he saw any reason I couldn't move up to intermediate, he said as long as I realize it doesn't make me any faster just because I move up... I wanted to laugh in his face but I acted cool and said "I totally understand what you're saying..." So after the smokin fast B session I head to the cooler for a drink of water... Guess who's standing there talkin shit about me at the cooler... YEP and when he saw me he was asked "you understand now, right?" I replyed, "Totally, and when I was younger I really could have used instruction like that, but I'm glad you took the time to tell me that... it TRUELY helped me out!" I wanted to tell the guy off but I kept my cool, sat down next to him, and explained where I had been living, who I had been riding with, what I would consider my experience level to be, and why I understood where he thought I was... so all in all a great track day... can't wait to do it again... maybe next time they won't treat me like a Nuub... Hell maybe next time you guys will be there... Speaking of, is the June 3rd date full? there is a local one here that is 200 but for 100 towards gas I would much rather be out there with you guys... Still looking for a dealer that can compare to SMHD/B... but I am afraid there is only one!!! |

Duc_htr, Glad the suspension fax and suspension chat helped. I've learned a few things here and there. Smart move in playing it cool...Those instructors deal all kinds of riders and people's egos. Keep in touch, ride safe. G' I feel your pain...Nics daycare is 140 a week and Nats' YMCA camp is 160 a week but she's only going every other week. Summer cost for child care and YMCA camp for Nat is about $3300 'BONES' as Charlie would say. Thats freakin crazy! So I've decided not to race at Roebling on the 3rd to save money and the race is "Sportsman series" only and isn't going to count as the make up race for the "National Challenge Series" at JGP that was canceled do to "fires and smoke" I might just have to show up at Tally and sit on the fence... |

Ok, count me in for Tally. I can haul a bike for someone without a truck and/or trailer. Who's putting this track day on? Is there a web site? |

Sanchez, it is a Open track day at Little Tally, I posted the link and dont have it right now. Duc, Yeah come on! Bambi, How did I get drug into all this?? I wont run a fender if they dont like it, it really aint that big of deal. What is up with your scooter? Same issues?? I got a fancy new Multi Meter today that does a lot my old one wont do. |

Chuckster, Yeah, same issue, I found a guy with a fancy multimeter and it's charging at 13.5 at idle. Problem is, it's only charging at 10.2 over 2k. So while she's riding, it's discharging, but if she stops and lets it idle for a few mins, it charges up...Guy said it's the regultor. I'm gonna try it with a new regulator/rectifier, not a cheezwhizzed used one for a gixxer from e-bay for $20. Better be the fix too. A new one is a hundred clams/bones |

Bambi, How did I get drug into all this?? Sorry Chuckster, after reading my post I can see how that last remark appeared to be directed towards you. It wasn't. It was still meant toward the "Pampered Pup". We thought you HAD to have a fender to run the race so we didn't want you to miss out. If you need it you're welcome to borrow it. You just need to get with Kdan to figure out the when and where. |

Kdan, I had to buy a new multi meter yesterday to fix the "other" tech's comeback. That makes 4 of his comebacks I have had to fix this week, and you think the boss would figure out by now the guy sux as a tech. Hope you get fixed up! |

Here's the link again: http://www.tgprace.com/trackdayinfo.htm I was hoping for something a bit less formal like what my car club does. "10. Crew and family members are not allowed on to the race track during the trackday." Unfortunately, that probably means I won't be able to shoot any good pictures. I'll see if I can get some kind of pass or something. |

It's starting to feel (and look) like an ankle again. The swelling finally went down enough that it doesn't look like a cankle. I start physical therapy and putting partial weight on it next Wednesday. Another two weeks after that, and I'll be walking on it in the Storm Trooper Boot. |

Sanchez I've got a slightly used right boot I can send you. When you start walking, you'll either look more balanced and stylish, or at least get a lot more sympathy. Have you looked about adjusting your shifter enough to get that thing in there? I think in another week or two my foot will be unswelled enough to fit, if I could just be sure to always lean right when I stop. Have you thought about rifle scabbards to haul crutches in? |

Sweet. Now if I can find some dudes with broken arms, broken ribs, and a broken head, my Storm Trooper costume will be complete! Plus, I can probably wreck all I want without getting hurt. I haven't tried to shift in the boot yet, but you can be sure that's the first thing I'll do when the doctor tells me I can put weight on it again. For now, I can't even mount the Uly without using my left foot. I'm extremely pleased the doc gave me the removable walking cast right off the bat instead of putting me in plaster for a month, though. I've been working my range of motion every day with special emphasis on upshifting and downshifting. As for the crutches, there's no need for scabbards when you have Ulysses luggage. I'll just put them in the hall closet next to the guest bathroom in the side bag. |

When is Tally? If Kdan isn't working, I wouldn't mind going and hanging out snapping a few. If we can me in on the "Press Pass" that is. Sure, that's what I need it so add MORE pics to cull. Sheeeesh, I haven't even dealt with MBIV yet! DOH! What am I thinking. Hey, I never got to see Shelly's shots! Saw here sporting around a freeze frame but missed out on the results. |
