I had someone ask me if the header off my 98 S1 would work on an S3 with thunderbolt heads. I said I would refer to the collective expertise of my fellow Buellers. Thanks |

The header off a 98 S1W will fit a 98 and older S3 with thunderstorm heads. The headers will interchage between the older tubers (98-older) the difference was the collector size 2" or 2.5" I hope you can understand what I was trying to say. |

Spiderman, I don't know if it is FI. I was asked the question by a potential buyer of my stock S1 header. Sjh, thanks for responding to my question. I didn't want to give out wrong information and have no experience with the S3. |

WOW, I'm digging up an old one here... I have a similar question. My local HD found a bunch of random Buell parts and have them marked down significantly... there's a header for $90 with part number 65247-99y that is listed to fit the M2 S3 and X1. Will it bolt up to my 96 S1 as long as I put a plug in the o2 bung? |

Will it fit? No, the rear head pipe on the S1 is over the frame,M2,X1 and '99 -'02 S3 are under the frame. |

Boooooo... I was hoping to score a deal. They do have a carbon fiber/chrome can for an s1 though, but no header. |
