Every thing was going awesome. I met streetdemon at his house then rode over you marcus where we met up with froggy. we spent all day ripping around bear mtn. and talking shop with the other riders. on the way home about half a mile from the CT border, bills lightning died. we luckily coasted out of bumble F to where we had cell reception. Yet another of us falls victim to the ever loosening battery cable. we called the girls and they were able to pick us up a battery and bring out to us. after that we dumped the car off and all of us rode out for a bite (without further incident). It was really cold by the time we called it a day; i hope froggy made it home without turning into an ice cube. anyway, hope we can get i bigger group together next time. |

Thanks Jeff! I made it into my wallpaper for my monitor because i love that pic so much Marty, I made it home alright. It was a bit chilly but i got used to it and i ended up spending about another hour on the road. When we get a logo finalized and stuff, i can get us some shirts. There is a guy that i work with that i think still does silk screening. Hmm that reminds me, he is good with making vinyl decals, i need him to whip up something for he Uly |

That pic is actually one of my favorates. it really captures the cager's ability to remain completely oblivious to road signs and traffic laws. |

went to bear mtn tonight with some of the guys at work- (they all ride rice rockets!) didn't get out of greenwich until 7:00p...went to the Wed night car/bike show. entering the first twisty on the pkw from peekskill i hit the apex and there was some water! washed out the front end but i caught it. all i could think of was how interesting the fall was going to be as i could have collected 2 of my friends...extreme pucker factor! still, it was a fun ride! aren't they all? |

I'll be at Danbury HD/Buell to pick up the bike at 9am tomorrow morning. Then my only plan is to just head out and burn some gas for a few hours. I should be good for Sunday morning. I've been trying to get a hold of Marty to see if he can help me with modding my headlights. (Marty, if you see this, send me a message) |

Anyone commute regularly down 95 thru Fairfield County to NY? I've ridden down there the last couple of days on the XB during the AM commute. I was surprised to see no other bikes, and I was also wondering how you guys felt about lane splitting? |

I commute occasionally with my xb. west haven to greenwich. not bad in the morning ~6:00 but the ride home can be a bear. 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. stop and go(mostly stop!) between stamford and bridgeport. very tempted to lane split(legal in california but not here?) but have had friends hurt doing this. the merrit pkwy is usually only faster in a snowstorm? so, i will usually take back roads up to north salem, ny and then get on i-84 to newtown and then take rt 34 down to west haven...adds about 20 miles but hardly ever stopped! |

I split. It takes a bit more concentration. You have to expect the unexpected and always have an out. A lot of the time the vehicles are staggered so its not like you're in between the cars. When they are side by side it's pretty safe. The Ct driver handbook discourages it but it doesn't say it's illegal Follow your instinct and know what traffic is doing way ahead and around you. Traffic can be fun. |
