I will be in southern Cali for about 3-4 months. I am looking for a place to rent a Buell (XB9R prefer). I have not been able to find any HD shop that has any. Not enough chrome, I guess. Please help. Anyone offer a loaner? Come on Sug, hook a brutha up! Also would like to meet up with some locals to show me the good twisties. Hope to hear from the SoCal Buellers!!!!!! |

Try Buell of San Diego. http://www.sandiegoharley.com/ If I remember correctly, there was a bike rental shop right across the street. Maybe this dealership can steer you in the right direction. |

Glendale Harley - http://www.glendaleharley.com/ - is close and strong Buell support, try them. |

If you want to meet some of the Glendale folks, the races are going on this weekend up at Willow Springs. Saturday practice, Sunday racing. Glendale, Bartels, couple other individuals out there as well. Sunday burgers are free - come by the pits. I wadded my bike up last month, there's nothing left so I'm just coming out to help the group. If you're in Burbank, you're an hour and a half from the track - come on out! The Buells are always parked to the left, 2nd row back from the stands on the far side toward Turn 1. We all park together. |

Steve,I am looking for a Marchesini 5 spoke rear for my Buell, can you ask around the race crowd you see at Willow?I had one but it was a 16.5,need a 17. My son was up at Willow a couple weeks ago, seems his GF's dad and granddad both race vintage bikes. I told him to look you guys up next time. |

FMJ - I'll sure ask around. None of the Buellers racing at Willow has non-stock wheels - but some folks may know of some out there. Shawn Higbee was selling his 16.5 wheels a while back but I doubt they're still around any longer. We all pit together in the same place every weekend, send him on down - especially Sunday it's free lunch. (Message edited by slaughter on May 15, 2007) |

Slaughter, Thanks for the invite to the track. Sorry, but going to fly home this weekend. Hope there will be a race on the weekends that I will be here. Many thanks to Al for helping me to find a bike to buy. Trying to work out the finances. (ie. wifes permission) Wish me luck. Later, Joe |
