  Is it already this time of year? Everyone talks about some new water cooled bike every year, but it hasn't happened yet. We have heard about a dirt bike before, and it sounds like this may be a possibility. Don't hold your breathe for this liquid cooled race bike though. Why would Buell have even bothered with the XBRR if they were in the middle of designing a new water cooled race bike? It just doesn't make a lot of sense. If anything big happens this year I hope it is an overall XB redesign, but I'm not holding my breathe. The line has been around for 5 model years now. | ||

dont flame me, i am just repeating what my dealer has told me. i go way back with this dealer, my father done all his bike buying with him, and i have bought 6 harleys and 2 buells from him. he has actually seen the new buell bikes, but told me nothing else just said wait till the dealershow. i wish i knew more, i hear this every year about some new buell model, but this is the first time my dealer actually told me something 'very different' was around the corner. | ||

you know, i dont understand why buell would want to enter the dirtbike(mx) world. i race mx now(vet 30plus), and it will be hard to compete with the current lineup of 450 mxers. when they say dirtbike, is buell talking about a real 450cc motocross bike, or a supermoto style bike? my dealer just said a dirtbike, would not elaborate on it at all. | ||

I would look at the KTM 450 with their 3 versions of the same power plant with different suspension tire setups for race, trail, enduro... Just a sneaky feeling that is the market they are aiming at. | ||

It IS going to be not only interesting but also AWESOME. Ya'all thought the XB's had some neat ideas? I suspect, I do not know, that these new bikes will not be GSXR clones. I do KNOW that Erik has not run out of ideas. | ||

I've seen the dirt bike, looks good, but I would be a little worried about the fuel in frame on a bike you expect to drop/crash. Havn't seen the fast bike yet, anyone have pics? | ||

You folks are fun! You can bet the people at Buell are happy to see anticipation for these new products. I don't think they can please everyone at once though. You may get one or the other, but I don't see both street and dirt coming out in July. Whichever it is, though, it is great for Buell. Neither H-D or Buell are afraid of using water-cooled mills. Its a 450 dirt bike BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO No new engine n I'm done. Ya its a fun and unique bike. But its SERIOUSLY under powered. All the little technical "bugs" If they don't come up with something in the realm of 130hp bone stock. I'm done. | ||

I sat on a TT for the first time today. All I can say is "crap". So... how long am I gonna have to wait for somebody to unload a good used one at a price I can afford? Crap. Good thing I didn't ride it, then I would *really* be in trouble. | ||

if they come out with a new bike thats water cooled or has more base hp. i think ill have to own 2 bikes. my 06 and 08? i still have my 06 financed but ill find a way to get another. haha if its a dirt bike and the price is reasonable. i may have to get me one of those too. might have to sell a kidney but owning 3 buells would be awesome |
