On the way to work today, my ULY dropped the front cylinder . We've changed the plugs, checked compression, checked for spark, and also checked for injector pulse, all seemed normal. Has anyone seen anything like this? |

Overheat? Uly will automatically drop a cylinder if it overheats or thinks its overheating. Although I'm not sure why it would drop the one that is in the wind, so that theory may be flawed. |

I don't think it drops one cylinder that would cause more load on the other one and over heat it. I believe they drop every second firing on each cylinder. This way both cylinders get cooled off a bit. (Message edited by Thunderbox on May 17, 2007) |

Make sure your plug wires are all the way in the coil, and that they are not damaged or worn from rubbing the frame. |

On the way to work today, my ULY dropped the front cylinder . How far did it fall? j/k Take to dealer. Still under warranty? Check all wires under your seat. I've seen two XB's drop a cyl from wires that rubbed under the seat. |
