I don't KNOW!!! I'm heading to seattle Saturday. Going up the east side of St Hellens east side of Ranier. Starting at Battleground, 503 to NF90 to NF25 to 12 to 123 to 410. Home the same way, or 101 or I5. Anyone ever do this at all? Need to see if the road is paved and it it goes above the snow line. I wont make the Saturday ride, unless you guys want to pick a route to battleground and ride as far as say St. HEllens with me... |

Well thats too bad Paul. Good luck on your ride up to Seattle. It sounds like the Sunday Ride Roc is talking about will be leaving Paradise at 10:30 and head down to Corvallis for the Oregon Vintage Motorcycle Associations annual show. |

Roc's ride is as described in the email he sent out. No changes were made last night so be at Paradise before 10:30 and enjoy some pancakes. "Sunday the 20th will be our ride, and it is also the weekend of the Oregon Vintage Motorcycle Association's annual show in Corvallis. I am going to ride down to the show and I will be leaving the dealership around 10:30. I don't have a route planned for the ride down - I will leave that someone else. Aatch, I will be there at 7:00 am as long as it's not raining at the time I leave the house. Thats when they open. There is only a 30% chance of rain so hopefully we will luck out. (Message edited by xbswede on May 18, 2007) |

i'll probably show up for breakfast, however i have to go to work afterwards, not to mention the rear of my bike just started to have a very uncomforting "floating" feeling, so i think i need to investigate it before i ride it anymore, any suggestions? |

No one showed up! Breakfast was not too bad at $1.99. Coffee Sucked though. I ended up heading back home after I was done, didn't care for a solo ride. Still it was a nice ride this morning 40 miles round trip and I even got to see some bike wrecks (bicycles). Seemed like there was a 100 of them out on Scholls road this morning. Well maybe we will have a better turn out next time. I propose June 2nd because next weekend is memorial weekend. Plus the bikini bike wash is on Monday the 28th in Salem. Is anyone planning on the Roc ride to Corvallis tomorrow? If the weather looks like today I will go. It starts at 10:30 from Paradise. |

No problem.. My daughter had a sleep over for her 7th Birthday party. It was nice to escape this morning for a couple of hours. If the weather holds out I will riding my XB to Burns, OR on the 26th. It will be my first long trip. About 640 miles RT. |

Man, endo at 50! You must of looked like a rag doll, dislocated shoulder and dislocated hip, at least you didn't dislocate your johnson. MSF may not teach that method of avoidance manuver, but hey it worked. Alive to laugh and whince in pain is always good news after a crash. How long for recovery? |

So, I got this email from a fellow BadWeber turning me on to this posting of Portland Buell Riders and I got all excited. I've been trying to find new people to ride with in my area that also understood the whole Buell thing. However, when I finally get a chance to sit down and check things out and introduce myself, I find that one of them has crashed. Man I hate hearing that kind of stuff. Anyway, good to hear that you're doing o.k. Spanktastic. Get better and get back to riding. I would sure like to get involved with some of these rides I've been reading about if that's o.k. with everyone. I don't like to just invite myself to places so I will keep checking back here to see if anything is going on. I live in Vancouver so some of the 7 a.m. stuff would make for a pretty early day for me, but I would certainly be willing to give it a try. I've been riding with the same group of guys for several years now, but they don't really seem to be in the same place I am with riding anymore. They're constantly trying to one up each other with the biggest baddest bike and just don't get why I like my Buell so much. They also thought I bought my Ducati just because if looked good but didn't go fast. (They changed their minds quickly after I smoked em' riding to Eagle Cliff.) I'm just tired of that "go fast in a straight line" mentality and I'm hoping that more people that own Buell's are like me. I'm a whole package kind of person. I don't care if the bike can go 200mph, can it corner and can I ride it all day and not be in pain that night? Well, looking forward to meeting some/all of you soon. Now, if I could just figure out how to get this damn rain to stop. Jim |

Jim, there is also a Pacific Northwest thread that may have more Vancouver Buellers. Don't worry about inviting yourself, if people don't want others to know about the ride then they can pm the people they do. Otherwise, anything you see posted is an invite to any member of the board. Welcome to the BadWeb. |

Jim nice to see you come on board. I live in Vancouver also. I'm also new to the PBR board. Went out with 4 of the guys here about 3 weeks ago in south Hillsboro area. Its a bit of a commute but well worth it to meet these guys and the new roads where perfect. Lets see if we can get together for the next ride that fits our schedule. Look forward to meeting another Bueller from the couve. Clint blkxb12r |

With a XB12 9 out of 10 doctors agree a Drummer is the way to go. If I recall right you don't even need to get a race ECM, the stock works and saves you money. You should ask around, maybe Aron(xbswede) is still running stock ECM and can tell you what he thinks. Paul(borrowedbike) has a Drummer too, and I'm not sure what ECM he runs. Checkout the Exhaust Shootout that was done by American Sport Bike, you can download the results and get an idea if the Drummer is for you or if you like something else. Micron is a good pipe (I have one on my XB9) but more money. Buell Race Pipe is extinct unless you're lucky to find one used. Latus is an Edlebrock car muffler that is extinct, unless you wanted to weld your own. Jardine been known to fall apart in the past and I believe you have to repack. D&D the loudest and one big punch of power and done. Special OPS similar to Drummer but not as good finish quality, worth looking into. One pipe that isn't tested is the Force system, IMHO the nicest looking system of all, but it is the most expensive. Sorry for the rant but I was waiting for other web pages to open. My ECM got shipped today so I am looking forward to riding on Monday, anyone else hangin around on Memorial day. |

Welcome Jim. As Buellballs mentioned I do run the Stock ECM with the Drummer SS with no issues. I am considering getting the Race ECM just to see what there is to gain. What I have been told by Kevin at KDfab is that there is no noticeable power gain but I tend to have to check things out for myself. Borrowedbike and Aatch both run Stock ECM with the Original Drummer pipes. As far as I know they both have had great success. Buellballs, are you planning on going to Salem for the Bikini Bike wash between 10:00 - 12:00 on Monday (if weather permits)? |
