Dang! I just found out today that I've got Sat. off and I can go. I was really hoping that some of the buellers from here would be going. You were the only one that I've heard make any noise about going. |

That wasn't what I meant. Is anyone else interested in going? I'm thinking of riding up on sat. and riding back on sun. if anyone wants to go. If I end up going alone again. I'm gonna head over to Durango on sun. and camp overnight, then come home mon or tues. |

OK, there is a good chance that I'm going to bail on tomorrow's ride. The weather looks like shit, it's cold and I don't have electrics. And my front tire does not inspire confidence on a wet road. I may just make a dash up the Turquoise Trail instead and drop my bike at the shop. I really need that tire and as I mentioned to someone, I'm about 3000 miles overdue for a 15K. |

Well, I didn't bail, but we didn't go to Taos either. Kim, Luis, Tim, and I were there plus Luis' buddy Rich and a new guy named Evan on a City X. It was COLD!! And pretty windy. We waited around the shop FOREVER, didn't leave until after 1030, then headed south down 14 to Cedar Crest. Again, it was cold. We stopped at Coffee At Dawn for a short bit, but then continued on to Ponderosa. It snowed on the way down, left some sleet on our windscreens, etc. After a REALLY LONG lunch, we left to a small snow blow and some damp roads. I peeled off to I-40 with Tim and the others back to Santa Fe. Tim was on his fancy new Aprilia. I got some pics which I'll post later. |

LOL, don't you guys watch the weather reports? Sorry I missed your call CJ, I can't wait around until 10 or later to go riding. I had already left to go down to the Ponderosa, and had to get back in time drive down to Artesia this afternoon. Next weekend, I'll be out in Phoenix doing some riding before it gets too hot. There is also a ride out there on HWY 191 on the 2nd of June. Kim, do you still have that ECM? |

"Tim was on his fancy new Aprilia" Ooh, ooh, what's he got? I was at the John Deere/Arctic Cat/Stihl/Aprilia dealer the other day buying a set of Tuono mirrors and they have one of those bad-ass 550cc Supermoto bikes on the floor. As odd as it sounds as a dealer, they are wonderful. Nicest, cleanest, most organized dealership I have ever been in. I hope they are successful with the Aprilia line because they deserve it. |

Yup, I still have the ECM and the pipe. Along with a few other items I'd be willing to part with! |

This is Tim's new bike. I don't know what it is. It's just an Aprilia. I don't speak Eye-talian, so there's no tellin.
And here is the group on the way out of Ponderosa. It's actually colder than it looks. It had just stopped snowing. Really.

You gotta be patient. It takes time to upload when the thing tells you EVERY TIME that your file is too large or the dimensions are wrong or whatever. |

CJ, next time i'm at home, i'll email you a copy of photoshop, it has a tool that shrinks your pictures for you. I think the pics need to be less than 575 pixels in either direction, and less than 60kb to post. photoshop can do all this for you, and still give you good resolution. |

Patient? Ya gotta be kidding me. I don't have time to be patient. I've got about 4 other sites to surf. |

Funny thing is, I actually have Photoshop and you are right, it does really nice resolution even when cropped. However, I don't have it installed on the laptop, which is where I have the camera software installed. So, I guess I should fix that. Meanwhile, I don't care how many sites you have to surf. |

How about a track day on August 19th, maybe part of the Taos Rally or in mid October. The dealership will sponsor it, so the cost will be $70.00 per rider for the day and include instruction. Let me know ASAP so I can book the day. I also decided to add a TT to the fleet by getting rid of an FXR and selling Mabel's 99 S3 |

I take it that Mabel is ok with your selling her bike? So how about you and she join me on the 9th in CO for dirt bike school? I've talked Kristen into going. It looks like her boyfriend may also be going. Anyone here wanna go? Ride up to Montrose on Sunday, class on Monday, and ride home on Tuesday. |

Sounds like he is selling TWO of her bikes... What are you going to ask for the S3? |

Kim- I'll check on the dirt bike school- if that date works, we'll go for sure- depends on the teaching schedule. Bart-Actually the FXR is mine, hers is the Heritage. We're getting rid of bikes we never ride. Mabel hasn't ridden the S3 since last fall and I haven't ridden the FXR for at least two years- it was loaned to a friend who doesn't need it anymore. We'll probably get rid of the Heritage when Erik's new dirt bikes come out. I think we want around $4000 or so. Extremely clean, reasonable mileage, recently serviced, very good tires, full race kit that has had the exhaust ceramic coated, not abused, all recalls done, signed by Erik. We'd rather it be kept in the "family". Make an offer- we're not greedy-we've been told that 4K is in the ballpark for a 99 in this shape and this color (Reactor Yellow with Nuclear Blue frame and wheels). So what date works for the track day? August or October? The weather is definitely muy bueno in October. You guys can choose, but I need to know sooner rather than later. CJ- Maybe you can give a heads up to the ride list? |

Anyone know where can I get my new tires mounted and balanced cheap here in town? I also made my own Buell lift box for my ATV lift if anyone ever needs to borrow them. Sure makes working on the bike easy. Dr. Greg you got time to help me swap my springs this week possibly Thursday or Friday? |

Joel, Last year, I took a new tire to Crossroad Cycles on 528 just south of Northern and they mounted it for $40. That was a rear tire. The guy who was one of the techs there said he used to work at HD/Buell in Las Vegas and had lots of experience with Buells. He said that they could do other services and save me some money. After my last service at the dealer, I could use some savings. The dealer does great work but costs a mint. |

I just got a call from Dave about the Lake City ride. Appranently there was a call from a women trying to make a reservation for Sat. and the answering machine cut her off, so Bruno didn't get anymore info from it. They were wondering if it was someone from down here. If so call the Lodge back. |

CJ, Thanks, they are pretty close so I'll give them a call. Price sounds right to me. I know what you mean about the dealer. They've treated me good so far and I haven't had issues with the recall work they've done, but the price they quoted me to swap my front springs about gave me a heart attack. |
