I've seen a few posts regarding this mod & it seems to add better performance according to alot of buellers here in Europe - pref for XB9 owners but some 12 owners say its working also. Its also no use with a race ecm . What do you guys think - has anyone tried this ? I had a look under the seat of my 07 12Scg & tried to disconnect the grey Deusch connector so I could then release the white wire but I just can't figure out how to release it without fear of breaking something - who has proper user info ? much appreciated for any. Cheers |

I remember reading several posts on this mod. awhile back. Tried to find it in the KV, but was a no go. Doesn't it have something to do with disabling the rev. limiter?..Charlie Also I thought it was just on XB9's |

Euro model only, white wire adds weak spot in rpm range. Something about emmission/noise test in europe. US bikes need not apply. |

Not sure how to "Cut" the wire. But your bike might see a slight improvement in only a narrow band of RPM. |

You don't need to cut the wire. Simpl push the connection out from the back of the plug that goes into the ECU. If I remember correctly (and it a long time since I have even seen an XB9) it is the left multipin plug and is the only white wire there. You will not gain any power but it will almost eliminate the horrendous flat spot that is present at around 2500-3000 rpm on Euro model bikes. Contrary to what some people say, this does not apply to XB12 models at all. |

What does the white wire do in XB12 model? I cut it on my euro 12, my ass-dyno didn't really recognize any differences... |

Yeah, Aust model responds to the white wire as well. Doesn't matter if you have a Race ECM as it don't read the wire. |

The race kit ECM basically disables the white wire, so there is no need to remove/cut it. |
